  1. No reputable breeder will sell a pup under 8 weeks of age. The same goes for a shelter and rescue. For that amount of money your only option is to adopt or buy from BYB. Guess which way you should go? http://www.petfinder.com
  2. Am sure that, when springtime arrives, many breeders will be taking orders for puppies but I suggest you, and your parents, learn something about dogs before you consider owning one. Under $200 won't buy a purebred puppy and, if your parents can afford no more than $200 for a puppy, where will they get the money to pay for the medical and food bills for it? No-one sells puppies at 4 weeks of age - this is the same as expecting a person to leave their less than a year old baby home alone. As said - learn something beforehand - visit your local library for books on owning a puppy and determine whether, or not, you have the time and money to own one. See link below.
  3. 4 weeks????My mouth just dropped to the floor. A puppy Legally has to be 8 weeks. Any sooner you risk the pup not knowing bite inhibition and dying from lack of proper nutrition. And you want it all for 200??? Sorry doesnt happen that way. 8 weeks is the min age you want to purchase a pup. You also if you are purchasing a well bred quality pup, should expect to spend around 1500. For the price and age you want, expect to spend more around 4000 min. For a shelter pup, you might get it for 200 but it wont be 4 weeks. No shelter or rescue will let them go before 8 weeks. Preferably they stay until 12 weeks. And NO it doesnt take away from the bond that pup will have with you. That pup has so much time to be with you and just like you dont remember being under 4 years of age, the pup wont remember much of it either. Let me guess, you want to feed Science diet too. Crappy food in=crappy food out. www.dogfoodanalysis.com www.dogfoodproject.com www.dogfoodchat.com
  4. Under $200 for a 4wk old golden retriever pup? I suggest you do a little more research on breeders and puppies because pups can't leave til they are 8 wks old and a <$200 purebred golden pup is just asking for a byb(backyard breeder)... if you want such a cheap golden retriever pup, go to a shelter, the adoption prices are under $200 and sometimes you'll find a purebred pup that needs a good home...
  5. You will not be able to buy a golden retriever puppy for $200 or less (and you can't get one at 4 weeks; perhaps you meant four months?). However, you can rescue from a shelter or pound for that much, or less than that. Here are a few golden retriever puppies near you that need homes: 9 week old male Golden Retriever/Australian shepherd mixes in Newland, NC (these guys are CUTE!): http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12811460 http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12811498 4 month old female in Greenville, SC: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12449424 Golden/Great Pyrenees female mix in Murphy, NC (this girl is solid white but shaped like a Golden): http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12663870 Just check petfinder.com often if none of these fit your bill. ETA: If you don't care about getting a purebred (good for you dude, I feel the same way), why not just adopt from a shelter? There are TONS of Golden Retriever mix puppies in shelters. Just check any of the above links, especially the pups in Newland, since there's a whole litter (at least 4 of them) and they seem to fit exactly what you want - all males, 9 weeks of age.
  6. I have a golden retriever mix with a border collie ( actually 2 of the smartest dogs in the dog breeds) and I can't take care of it because I work and don't have time at all for him, you sure do sound like you have time for him, he's 3 months old still a very cute puppy, just I don't have no time for him and really want someone to take care of him and keep him you know, a good family owner His name is wally kind of like Wall-e the movie lol but yea he's also trained (4 weeks not done) and still needs practice to be perfect and has all his vaccines up to date, he's dark with white on his chest and slightly white on his paws, If you're interested email me at chitownvictorRZ@yahoo.com thank you
