How can I keep my cats up more during the day so they sleep at night?...lol?

I do play with them during the day when I'm home but at night they are up, running around the house and scratching at my bedroom or the kids because they want in...lol Thanks!

1. Cats are nocturnal. They're less active during the day and more active at night. That's just how they are.
2. Cats are nocturnal. The best way to tire them out in the day is give them lots of exercise and play. You can also try giving them a good half an hour to an hour play before you go to bed.
3. cats generally spend more time asleep than they do when they are awake, so you need to find ways to occupy them more throughout the day...not just playing with them, but you need to keep them outside more during the day and they will find ways to amuse themselves, feed them a nice big meal about half an hour before you go to bed and generally after a big meal cats get tired and sleep but as cats are naturally nocturnal sort of creatures, it's difficult k eeping them asleep during the whole night
4. Im not totally sure about the nocturnal thing. Every cat i've had is either sleeping at night, up during the day, or just relaxing at any time of day.
5. I am a cat behaviorist.. change their feeding cycle for now. 1 hours before bedtime, play with them, let them chase the string. Once this is done, feed them before going to bed. A full tummy will make them sleepy for the evening.
