Cross Breeds

What would they look like (chihuahua puppies)?

"We have a pregnant chihuahua dog, my question is what would the puppies look like mom or dad?" Not a breeder dogs already have a very good home no matter what sex they are or how many....

  1. It all depends on genetics. A good breeder would use two healthy registered champions to breed a litter of acceptable puppies. You can't predict whose genes are more dominant, unless you try to look at family history. EDIT: Wait, if you're not a breeder, then why are you breeding dogs? There are loads of healthy Chihuahuas in the shelter that are going to lost potential homes because of you. I don't have a problem with GOOD breeders, but careless ones like you make me mad.
  2. Please get your dog fixed. It all depnds on what genetics were passed on from parent to baby. Didn't you take a science class? You should know this! To save the amount of unwanted dogs in the world, please stop contributing, and get all of your dogs fixed. Thank you
  3. Do people come out looking like just the mom or the dad??? It is sad that people that don't even have basic common sense are breeding.
  4. Really both. my aunt has 24 chihuahuas (talk about a house full). the resent letter was three. two black and one cream couleured. the parents were both cream coul. so really the possiblilaties are endless. hope this helps!
  5. If you breed a dog, but are not a breeder, then what are you? Basic Genetics 101: When 2 dogs are bred the puppies will be a random combination of the 2 parents. If both parents are chihuahuas then they will look like chihuahuas. I 1 parent was a chihuahua and the other one wasn't then the puppies will be bitzers and have bitzer the mother and bitzer of the father in a very random and unpredictable way.
  6. either, both or the grand parents
