  1. great white sharks have no bone- they're support structures are cartilidge. they are the largest known shark and predatory fish. they're sixth sense allows them to pick up electric jolts from any moving fish around them. they're electro-sense is so sensitive that they can detect a half a billionth of a volt! they can also jump very high to either pick prey off of the top of the water, or sometimes they hit something above them so hard that they fly out of the water. It is the only shark known to breach the water for prey. they're eggs hatch inside of their body and the infant sharks kill each other inside of the womb. this is why only one or two pups are usually birthed at one time. once the male seahorse fertilizes the eggs, the female squirts the eggs into a specialized pouch in the males, and the males actually give birth rather than the females. after the young are born, the male cares for them rather than abandoning them
  2. GREAT WHITE SHARK: *Great whites can detect one drop of blood in 25 gallons (100 liters) of water and can sense even tiny amounts of blood in the water up to 3 miles (5 kilometers) away. *Highly adapted predators, their mouths are lined with up to 300 serrated, triangular teeth arranged in several rows, and they have an exceptional sense of smell to detect prey. They even have organs that can sense the tiny electromagnetic fields generated by animals. Their main prey items include sea lions, seals, small toothed whales, and even sea turtles, and carrion. *They have slate-gray upper bodies to blend in with the rocky coastal sea floor, but get their name from their universally white underbellies. They are streamlined, torpedo-shaped swimmers with powerful tails that can propel them through the water at speeds of up to 15 miles (24 kilometers) per hour. They can even leave the water completely, breaching like whales when attacking prey from underneath. *Great whites are the largest predatory fish on Earth. They grow to an average of 15 feet (4.6 meters) in length, though specimens exceeding 20 feet (6 meters) and weighing up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms) have been recorded. http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/fish/great-white-shark.html It was usually believed that the white sharks are not very social. However, recent researches have proven that this species is rather social. The sharks of South Africa apparently follow what is known as a dominance hierarchy based on size, genders and the rights of the squatters. The smaller sharks are dominated by the larger ones. The Newcomers are dominated by the resident sharks. They tend to resolve all their problems through the rituals they follow. http://www.indianchild.com/great_white_shark.htm - The biggest great white shark on record was 23 feet (7 m) long. - The great white shark has 3,000 teeth at any one time.
