How long can shih tzu puppies hold there pee?

im gettin a shih tzu pup nd i wanted 2 noe how long they can hold ther pee nd poo

1. The rule of thumb to use for Puppies holding it is # of Months + 1, so at 8 weeks/2 months, 3 hours.
2. well how long can you hold yours, if they are potty trained then they should be able to hold it as long as you could!
3. Roughly 1 hour for every month of age.
4. Put them outside every couple of hours or when they wake up from a nap. Whatever you do, don't try it unless you want a wet and stained carpet and an unhappy pup!
5. I agree with b.w. - your dog, no matter what the breed, will be able to hold their pee on average one hour for however many months old they are. However, if your puppy is very active, or drinks lots of water - then it will need to pee more often. Once it is full grown - your dog will be able to hold its pee for around 8 hours or so - especially if it sleeps most of that time. Pooing is usually once or twice a day. If you're new to being a dog owner, i would suggest you check out some books on dogs and training - they can be very helpful when you're training your new pup. Have fun with your new puppy!
