HOW to write a report!?

I have to write a report for SOSE, and I thought I knew, then i read a page on how to and it turns out that it wasn't what i was thinking... it says there that have an 'intro statement' and then i have 'descriptions' descriptions' descriptions' Could someone please show me how to? Am I meant to... Outline my points for the ENTIRE project (ie. Tropical rainforest animals, plants, climate, and temp) and then go on to describe each one of them in paragraphs? OR Am i meant to -Describe the Climate (intro...) and then move on to describe the climate in separate paragraphs and then REPEAT the process for the other topics?

1. well see at my school what we do is, we write an introduction paragraph and we briefly mention everything in that paragraph. it only has to be 4-6 sentences. then if in your introduction paragraph the order you put your topics in, meaning, if the first sentence is about climate, then tropical rain forests animals, then temp, etc. then your report has to be in the order to, meaning that you first paragraph should be about climate, then tropical rain forest animals, then temp, etc. so i would make have everything mentioned in the first paragraph, then address them in the rest of the report! and outlining can always help you! so you can outline everything and then write the report. thats how we do it and i really hope it helps!
