Boxer Puppies; how much & what should I get to start out with?

My boyfriend has a female, AKC registered, brindle boxer..he's been talking about getting a male boxer to breed for a long time..I've decided to get him one for Valentines Day..How much do they usually cost & what should if anything should I give him with the dog ? He paid $350 for the female, and I don't want to spend much more than that.. Thank you in advance.

1. If it's registered, plan to spend a minimum of $500 from a reputable breeder.
2. Forget about breeding. If your boyfriend paid $350.00 for his dog, it is NO where even close to breeding quality. Let the people who show their dogs, and do genetic health testing, breed quality animals. Don't be another person that has the title of being a BYB! Add: Sorry Bob, you will NOT get a Boxer for $500.00 from a responsible breeder. Just ain't gonna happen.
3. Hi Lauren, I used to breed Boxers and I can tell you that breeding them can be very tricky. If one dog has an under-bite, or over-bite, you need to make sure that the mate does not. If one is very flashy, meaning a lot of white, you also need to make sure that the mate does not, or has a minimal amount. So what I am trtying to tell you is to look for obvious problems with the male, and when looking for a female, make sure she doesn't have the same faults.
