what 80's kids movie is this?

Ok, here's what I remember... 1) its' about a bunch of kids.. 2) it's winter time 3) the kids build a huge snow fort 4) they split into teams and they have a fight.. 5) They throw snowballs that are covered in paint 6) there's a dog in the movie.. it's a saint bernard i think I'm sorry this is so vague! I just remember that i loved this movie and have always remembered snippets of it.. HELP! I'm really excited to think that someone will know what it's called so that I can find it!

1. Oh wow. yes i LOVE this movie! It was one of my favorites as a kid and I own it now... You saw it on Nickelodeon.. It's called.... The Dog Who Stopped The War And it's available on DVD! here ya go! http://www.amazon.com/Dog-Who-Stopped-War/dp/B0001ZVA3K The children of the town build a snowfort and divide into teams for a war... but it gets out of hand and the kids turn mean! I love that dog!
