Why do people sometimes say that it will take wild horses to drag them to a place to don't want to be?

ie. Next time we see a Van Damm Movie, you can not only pay for the ticket, but for the wild horses needed to drag me there.

  1. Yo are not going at all and it will take a great effor to get you there
  2. Somehow wild horses are more desperate to get away so they pull harder than domesticated ones. The force required is more than the average person would have access to, that is, because they are wild.
  3. Hey, if you knew how hard it is to get my husband to get off the sofa and dance to funky videos with me at any time, wild horses out of control running through the house would at least get his attention! But I don't say that, I just politely say "no thank you" and continue on my way.
  4. Wild horses are a symbol of power and determination. If they've a mind to take you some place, you're going!
  5. Back in the days when horses were wild and had to be tamed they could drag a person around for a while. That's the origin of the expression
  6. Wild horses are actually quite strong and powerful, and will not act orderly. If you have an axe stuck in the wood, you can't pull it straight out. You have to pull it front, back, left, right so that the holes enlarge and can be pulled out. Wild horses act unexpectedly and is able to do more than tame horses. That's why people says that, because tame horses are less effective in moving them.
