What is the general value of the average 'Breyer Horse"?I have recently acquired a large collection.?
I have horses from varying years. A variety of collection series, and also a variety of types and sizes. I also have other animals such as bear, mountain lion, cattle, and a wolf. Some are as early as the early sixties. All in excellent shape.

- Totally look it up on eBay. It looks like between $5 and $49 but I didn't check items sold. I'm going by a quck peek at the ones ending. Some are not selling at all.
- It REALLY varies. A common horse isnt worth a lot- like say a clydesdale stallion. The regular run isnt very valuable, but if you have an old "no muscles" version then that one is valuable. The best place to start is the breyer model horse values book http://www.amazon.com/Breyer-Animal-Collectors-Guide-Identification/dp/1574325566/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1198677116&sr=8-1 This will help give you an idea of values. Also look on ebay or www.modelhorsesalespages.com Condition is key when assesing value. A scratched up broken horse isnt worth the values in the breyer book. Thing to keep in mind is that they are worth what someone will pay you for them. I still have all my horses from childhood. Not is terrific condition but still valuable to me :) Hope this helps!
