Cross Breeds

How many different breeds of dogs have you owned?

Me? Just 2. But I want to experience different breed in the future! It's hard to settle on which breed I want, so why stick with just one? How many of the same breed of dogs have you have? Like 3 chihuahuas? Also, have you had all boys or all girls? I've only had girls, but they were all adopted. I have nothing wrong with males, but I've just never had one! Wow, Angel, you sound like my family!

1. papillon - 1 (my current dog) toy poodle - 3 springer spaniel - 1 cocker spaniel - not sure, around 8 maybe? lab - 1 english setter - 3 sheltie - 1 collie - 1 german shorthair pointer - 1 minature dachshund - 1 german shepherd - 1 (Hope I didn't forget any.) ADD: Most of the dogs above were female. The males were the sheltie, the lab, and a couple of the cockers. .
2. 7 Different purebreds - Min Pin(F), Doxie(M), Doberman(M), Lab(F), Beagle(F), Poodle(F) and currently - 2 Pomeranians, both females. I've also had 6 mutts - 3 males and 3 females. ADD: I have owned both male and female, but the males I've had have been so sweet. My female Min Pin was a little terror and my Chow mix was amazing and so sweet. However, my Rottie mix (male) was very aggressive to strangers. I don't think it matters whether it be male or female, it depends on the breed, socializing and upbringing.
3. My husband and I have three boys all different breeds. We've nick named them small, medium and large. We have a papillion poodle mix, a shepherd mix and a black lab. =)

5. My first and only dog - A Beagle mix...absolutely amazing dog!!! Best behaved...everyone always wants to doggy sit when we go away on vacation b/c he's so good. We adopted him one year ago and he's been the best ever! Unfortunately, we don't know what he's mixed with...yet.

7. Well I had a black lab/doberman mix who lived to be 17. Her name was Jane. I had 4 golden retrievers, Jackie, Roman, Rocky and Remy. I still have Rocky and Remy. All four were Male. So I guess that is it, just two different breeds. But I want a little Doxen [Daushund] puppy. :] But I love all breeds of dogs.
8. I HAD: A chow chow - (he was a very nice dog with the family but evil with strangers) Pit Bull (2) (boy- very sweet but for some reason he couldn’t bark and he was a sweet heart. He loved playing with the boy yorkie) (girl- that girl was a little demon! She loved fighting) I HAVE: Siberian husky (he is very playful, but he scares people with his blue eyes) Chihuaha- (he is annoying, he loves my dad and he wont even let us get near my dad) Maltese- (very playful and he loves life! He is always ready to give love) Yorkie (2) (boy- very playful, he can never be still) (girl- she is sick she has hypoglycemia, always sad and weak)
9. 2 goldens, male, female previously: 4 male goldens 1 female lab 1 male shepherd (silver grey) 1 male dobie (wandered up and adopted me) 1 male irish setter (another I was adopted dog) Does it count if I've enjoyed the company of my parent's 2 jack russels? Biggest little dogs I've ever known...real dogs are 60 lb + ?!

13. I like to go for different breeds. For one reason if the same breed people tend to compare the new dog to the old, which is usually unfair to the new one. Now after years of having longer haired breeds, I want the short hair and less shedding. I have had 2 GSDs, Akita/Wolf mix, Samoyed, 2 Chows, Malamute and currently I have 2 Boxers and a Shi-Poo (my wife wanted her own dog).

I've had: 2 Newfoundlands, male and female, named Bear and Sarah 1 Newfoundland/Chow mix, female, named Lady 1 Miniature Schnauzer, female named Chelsea 1 Husky/German Shepherd mix, female, named Shaela And just for the record in the past I've also had: 7 cats, male and female, named Samantha, Blue, Silver, Miracle, Chester, Cotton, and Midnight 4 guinea pigs, male, Cocoa, Patches, Peppie, and Rodney 4 hamsters, female, Meeko, Tink, Cinnamon, and Sugar 3 rabbits, male and female, Pepper, Patch, and Lola 1 ball python, female, Ember 10 mice, male and female, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Chip, Dale, Snoop, Bandit, Sassy, Cho, and Milo 1 rat, female, Buttercup 1 horse, female, Lucky 1 wolf spider, unsure of gender, Moon 4 frogs, unsure of gender, Lily, Kermit, Jake, Spring 1 box turtle, female, Casie 6 chickens, male and female, Bigfoot, Henrietta, Puff, Anita, Allie, and Amy 4 birds male and female, Clyde, Precious, Belle, Bubbles And an assortment of bugs and insects without names. :) I love animals and all of the above listed were all very special to me.
15. I grew up with bullmastiff female who was great, when she passed it was the first time i saw my dad cry Had a collie who was the sweetest boy. Lhasa Apso -male was very aggresive to others A poodle mix male who we rescued and he thought he was a bear! A westie male we resuced and he didnt play well with others A lab mix we resucued that we had to put down because he was cujo and was just too aggressive and bit a neighbor. A sheltie mix rescue male that we also adopted out after teaching him some manners. I'm sure there were more, since growing up we were the place for strays also lol, my daddy loved dogs. I currently have an old gramma female yellow lab and a male lab/pit mix who is the sweetest boy.
