I want to enter my Australian Cattle dog(blue healer), german shephard mix.

- I'm pretty sure they can
- Well..in some (most) of them no...BECAUSE..they have to be registered with the AKC. (american kennel club.) and they do not do mixes...I have a boston terrier mix and in SOME competitions they allow it...heres a trick/tip (say you have a lab mix but it looks like a lab..just send the AKC apic and tell them it's a lab. they'll never know) he he. Anyways so yea...It just depends what competition where, and what the rules are!
- yes. i just watched a dog show today for jumping and a majority of the dogs on there were mixed breeds. I saw maybe one or two full bred.
- I don't think AKC does, but there are a lot of other agility organizations out there that do allow mixed breeds. Here are some agility organizations, it says if they allow mixed breeds in the descriptions. http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.display&page_id=62&CFID=296201&CFTOKEN=35106578
- Yes, I have a Pure doggie and I dont like those stuck up showy places so I mix him in with dogs of different breeds and he runs his little heart out. go to your local obedience place and they may have classes and shows like my dogs obediance trainer does!! ( mines about 90$ for 9 weeks and thats once day in a week) thats my baby in the pic, Shiba Inu, Ryu!
- I entered a Chow/Shepard...but it was in a non pure bread competition for fun.
- of course you can, its all about the dogs agility!! =)
- Yes mixed breeds can be registered with the United Kennel Club (UKC) and compete in agility.
- yes check into ukc or find fun matches where any dog can compete
- Yes and no. Your dog won't be able to participate in your national kennel club's (CKC, AKC, etc.) events, but other agility associations such as NADAC, AAC, and the USDAA are open to all dogs. See http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.display&page_id=62 for more information about agility organizations that are operating in your community.
- Yes you can enter mixes in AKC events if you register it in the ILP (now PAL) Program where you register it with whatever breed you think it looks closest to, it has to be fixed but thats no big deal, theyre there for the fun plus you never have to worry about certain distractions ;) The AKC ILP (PAL) info which CLEARLY states that you can enter mixed/ILPed dogs in the AKC agility events: http://www.akc.org/reg/ilpex.cfm If they couldnt my uncles ILPed Rottie couldnt run in agility.
