Cross Breeds

What's a cheap (under $50) , creative gift that i can get for a 16 year old girl who likes horses?

I'm going to her party this weekend and i have NO idea. She used to have a horse but she had to give it away. She still loves horses though.

  1. you could buy her little horse statues or figurines to collect. i collect them, love horses, and i am 13. i have lots of them, and she would probably like them... hope this helps!
  2. A Painted Pony or Breyer Model. A Build-A-Bear horse (or cerf to that store). Go to a tack store and look for horse jewelry and other giftware.
  3. How about a stuffed animal... horse? With a pink(which ever colour she likes) bow or ribbon. Present it in a much bigger box with shredded paper to the bottom of the box. I think it would be cute... I always wanted a present like that.:P The concept it not how much it costs, it's how thoughtful or creative your gift is!
  4. Get a huge horse sized box, and put a tiny drawing of a horse in it.
  5. A Painted Pony figure would probably be nice. Most of them are around $20-$30. They are in all different colors and designs. I've seen them in greeting card stores, gift shops, and knick-knack stores. I usually buy them off Ebay, though. http://www.trailofpaintedponies.com/

  7. hi, i'm 15 and i love horses and no offense guys but i wouldn't be so hot on any of those things you guys said so far. Appreciative, yes, but it wouldn't blow me away. Do you know if she still rides horses? If she does, then that opens a lot of great gift possibilities. You could get a saddle pad, helmet cover, tack box, tack bag, saddle cover, brushes, grooming supplies( fly spray, show sheen, spot out, shedding block). "horses people" always need things for both them and thier horses so you might even want to ask her if theres anything special she wanted that you could pick up for her. i know now that its almost spring and horses are shedding out i'm in desparate need of a new shedding block and show sheen. If she jumps a cute pair of polos or a riding jacket could be nice. There are definitely a lot of possibilities. If she doesn't ride anymore then youre still not out of luck. Often if you stop in at a tack shop or a supply store (like farm and fleet) and they'll have cute items for the horse lover. A journal with a horse on it for her to write in, a calandar with horses on it, candle holders in the shape of horses ( i just saw some cute ones the other day!), or maybe she'd enjoy movies like Flicka, Hidalgo or classics like black beauty, national velvet, or seabiscut. Also the new T.V show on ABC Family about horses is Wildfire (geared at the age group anywhere from 13-18) and seasons 1-3 are on DVD, i'm sure she'd love that. If you know of a riding shop or a tack shop near by you could always get a gift card and let her pick out whatever she needs. As long as you tried i'm sure she'll appreiciate whatever you decide on. Good luck!
  8. Breyer horses are great. But if she's artistic, she might like the mini horse figurines that are paintable. Good luck!
  9. Because she still would probably love to ride I'd get her a riding lesson usually about $30.
  10. I agree the Painted Pony! They are great! Here is their site. Look around they have a lot of nice horses. Then here is a store that carries them & if she doesn't have it(she has a lot of them) she can order it. All Tacked Up 951-272-1243 http://www.trailofpaintedponies.com/
  11. Well, I'm a sixteen year old horse-crazy girl...so here goes: --ANY cool form of super soft, super colorful, or super cool brush (I saw this spray brush thing, SO COOL!) --Horse video games (Equestriad, Let's Ride, etc...there's a horse game for nintendo Wii, but I don't have a Wii, sob) --An OFFICIAL human-hunters fence! --Cool horse sprays, bug repellants (especially Eqyss brand stuff) --Bright and crazy polo wraps, square pads, halters, crops, etc... --Horse cookies!!! Mrs. Pastures are good... --HELMET STRIPING KIT (if she has a helmet that can use the stripes...so cool) --Personally, I would love to have a pair of cute Wellies in a fun print to use while hosing the lesson horses... --Any cute horsey shirts or anything like that Keep in mind that we DO also like normal-person gifts...: --iTunes gift cards --American Eagle gift cards --Abercrombie & Fitch Or to make it easier on everyone, cash or a gift card to a local tack store are simple and effective!
  12. I don't think my answer is creative, but speaking from experience, a book on horses (non-fiction and assuming she reads). Before I got my horse, I lived horses through books. I loved learning about how best to braid their tails or how to treat wounds, or which plants horses should avoid. It was almost like having a horse. I am sure for this girl, it would be a way to relive the joy of horses again, even though she does not have one anymore. Did she enjoy any particular discipline? If she is interested in dressage, I would recommend "Enlightened Equitation" by Heather Moffett. Alternatively, as was mentioned, a horse riding video game (oh my gods I have wanted one of those for ages... but then I remember that I have real horses who would be annoyed if I brushed an artificial horse instead of them...).
  13. You should get her a Trail of the Painted Ponies model horse. You can get on there website and they have tons. If she's into western stuff they have cowboys and native american ones, and they have really pretty snowflake painted, and ones with stars, a Christmas draft, and many more. They range from about $20 - $30. Or you could get her a bryer model horse.
  14. if she's fashionable, get her something equestrian fashion. Thats really big right now. Like horse bit handbags or belts.
  15. take her on a trail ride for her birthday !!! usually its about $20 a person so under $50 and super fun! or get her a lesson ( those are always fun to experience ) or a hay ride ! toys are cute but nothing beats the real thing. ! Hope this helps Good luck and have fun
