  1. i have the same question. i stared as interesting so hopefully you get good answers
  2. It really depends where you live Some places you need a permit Others you can get them without a permit Yet still other places have them banned
  3. UK? yes you can - you can get them online from people selling them http://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/php/s_Seahorse.php http://www.simplyseahorses.co.uk/ and you can find them in several aquatic/exotic pet shops too
  4. I've seen the little ones for sale at Petco. I live in Georgia.
  5. its really depend on where u live. In uk, its very rare to find Sea horses but I heard about can order them online, but I would do alot of re-search more information about that, as its hard to look after
  6. I live in england and keep tropical fish when i visit my local stockists they often have baby sea horses for sale.
  7. You can buy sea horses...but are you aware of the work involved? They are one of the hardest types of fish to keep, because like all marine fish they need very constant conditions, which is difficult within any aquarium because of the buildup of ammonia, in addition to this they need very clean water yet a not too strong current, another thing difficult to achieve within the aquarium. A proper set up for seahorses like cost you hundreds of pounds, and you have to get everything within VERY narrow parameters to have healthy seahorses. If you dont have experience in keeping marine fish, it is very unlikely you will be successful. If you dont have experience, consider keeping something easier like clownfish or damsels first.
  8. yes you can buy sea horses quite easily from respectable marine stockists but i certainly don't advise anyone who doesn't know you can buy them to actually attempt keeping any, they are one of the most challenging species to keep as the person above says, the need constant almost perfect water conditions, they need feeding 3 times a day and unless you are a highly experienced and successful marine fish keeper, my advice is please don't buy any and leave it to the experts who know what they are doing....
