Does anybody know where i can find Yorkie puppies in Maryland?

I live in Maryland and it seems it is harder than i thought to find a Yorkie puppy. so if you know about anyone selling for a small price or giving some for adoption plz tell me.that would be great! THANX P.S.(i have tryed google, petfinder, and craigslist.)

1. Have you tried your local shelter? You may have to decide on a different breed or get one imported from somewhere else.

4. www.petfinder.com Look to spend at least 800 dollars for a yorkie from a reputable breeder. You will not find one for a "small price." If you find a yorkie for less than 800, then it is from a Back Yard breeder. And NEVER buy from petland. The dogs are from puppy mills.

6. Hi, Yorkie's are usually pretty expensive. The AKC offers a list of breeders. Perhaps one of them would have an older pup or a pet quality pup that will fit your budget. Good Luck

9. Consider adopting an adult dog! They are all too often overlooked and subsequently euthanized, even if they have been housebroken and area easier to take care of. This is a HUGE plus in toy breeds such as Yorkshire Terriers, as they can be difficult to housebreak. 10. There are Yorkie dog breeders in Maryland. I have a Yorkie and little dogs do not equal a little price. My Yorkie was $1800 and be prepared for all the cost with the dog. Small dogs get cold faster, so sweaters, coats and blankets. When there are on the smaller size that some refer to as teacups they require small feedings often even overnight. You need to be careful of blood sugar levels. The other thing is while they are a puppy you need to be careful of their knees so no jumping off even the couch and never put a collar on only a harness. You can try going through a rescue group like www.mainlinerescue.com or another local group by you. There are also rescue groups for every breed and your vet should be able to help you contact them.
