Where can I find a Maine Coon cat?

HELP! My girlfriend and I are moving into an apartment and we are looking for a Maine coon cat. I live in Connecticut and wouldn't like to drive out of Connecticut unless it is to Rhode Island. Also we are looking for a kitten so that we can raise it ourselves, and instructions on any special things that need to be done to care for this animal would be greatly appreciated. Please some one help. Also if you know of ANY Maine Coon breeders around Connecticut please tell, even if it's a little bit of a drive.

  3. The best way to find a Maine Coon cat is to get over to the state of Maine and find breeders. That or you could try to find breeders locally that might have this cat.
  4. I do not live in Conneticut but you could try to find a shelter and get a kitten from there.i just did.
  5. You can check local shelters - they usually have Maine Coon look alikes - not purebred but could have it in the background.   7. Try US Freeads below. Enter your zip and you'll get all near you. If you can't find, they allow you to place a free ad if you want. Also, Todays Pet has good links to Pet Classifieds all over ... and they also let you place free ads.
