Are Chesapeake Bay Retrievers good with Maine Coon cats?

Our family is considering getting a Chesapeake Bay Retriever for next Christmas. We have a cat and we don't want to turn him into an outdoor cat. He's a Maine Coon, and I was wondering if he would get along with the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
