I have a female cat that likes to take my daughters small stuffed animals and hide them does anyone know why?

I have a female Domestic Short Hair and she likes to hoard small stuffed animals of my daughters. She hides them underneath the bed, in the closet, in small tight spaces. Just the other day I found over 25 little stuffed animals. All hidden under the bed. She does this in the middle of the night, she'll start to meow and thats when I know she has started her voyage from my daughters room to mine with a mouth full of babies (that is what I call them) her babies.

1. she has a very good hunting instinct and is hiding her treasures. Watch to see if she takes one and drops it at your feet. she might be showing off her prize.
2. How old is your cat? Has she ever had babies of her own? Has she been spayed? It sounds like she's "adopting" these stuffed animals, to take the place of her kittens, if she's ever had any. OR, she may be getting ready to go into to a heat cycle! If she's had kittens, is spayed, and isn't hurting anything, let her be. It sounds like she's happy......... I spray catnip on stuffed animals for my cats to carry around and "talk" to. They love it...........so that's why I do it! ENJOY..........
3. i would guess it is just a game. it could be maternal instincts gone haywire. cats will move and hide their babies in small dark places.
4. SHE HAS THE MOTHER INSTINCTS, SHE THINKS IT'S HER LITTER.
5. We had a cat that would crawl in amongst my son's stuffed animals and groom them as if they were kittens. As long as the stuffed animals are of sturdy construction and do not have pellets in them, it should be okay. Be on the lookout for button eyes, loose seams, and frayed fabric. Those should be tossed. Perhaps your daughter could rotate her collection and have only a few available for hiding. Then you'd know how many are missing and can find them before they become chewed up. Safety first!
6. My kitty does the same thing I watch her drag out things from the my sister's bedroom like socks scarfs sweatpants I think its kinda cute to see her doing that
