What's worst, Dog Fighting or Horse Racing?

I think they're both EQUAL and I don't have a problem with neither one. I think it'll be very HYPOCRITICAL of me to bash dog fighting and then support sports like horse racing, boxing, cockfighting, or even eating MEAT! Why? Horse Racing: The owner BEATS his horse senseless in order for the horse to move faster, and if the horse BREAKS A LEG the owner will SHOOT the horse execution style! Now how is that any different from dog fighting? The horse is getting BEAT and if he's no good he gets SHOT! Boxing: How could someone support two HUMANS beating the crap out of each other and then act like dog fighting is so horrible? It's ashame that we live in a world that most people think that 2 dogs (animals) getting hurt is worst then 2 humans getting hurt. Cockfighting: It's the SAME! Instead of it being dogs their just cocks. A animal is just an animal. Meat: How could I say dog fighting is CRUEL and at the sametime eat MEAT? They KILLED that animal in order for me to eat it. Anyways, I have nothing against dog fighting, boxing, horse racing, cockfighting, or eating meat! I just wanted to show an EXAMPLE on how our society is hypocritical! How could you bash one thing and then up lift another thing that's similar. P.S. I understand where you are going with this and I agree.. .....Unfortunately you are about to read some really ridiculous excuses to try to tell you differently. : let me also add though that mike should get his if he is found guilty. Dog fighting, horses don't get drug out back and shot if they lose a race.
this is the dumbest question. ok dogfighting is so bad because dogs die, and it is so wrong and there is usually drugs involved. horse racing is a whole different thing. obviously u have never gone to a jockeys horse stable. ive been to plenty, and they treat there horses extremely well. and no if the horse breaks a leg, it is not going to be shot execution style. that was back in the old days. they would humaninly euthanize it. they not beat the horse, they train it. sure the horse feels it, but its not that bad. also the horses get plenty of treatments and rewards after races. u have the wrong idea of horseracing. those horses are treated very well and with alot of respect. dogfighting is cruel, horse racing is not. they just train the horse to do good, but they also spoil them too.
Horse Racing: the guy above me has it right. Also the goal is not to have the animal torn to pieces Boxing: get real, nobody dies and the people choose to do it. Cockfighting: IT IS ILLEGAL! Meat: is that a real question?
Horse Racing: Owners don't beat horses. Bruises and sore muscles don't make animals run faster. Jockeys (far from owners) pull reins to make a horse go faster. And shooting a horse 'execution style' to put it out of it's misery is different than Michael Vick drowning, hanging or setting a pit bull on fire. Boxing: Two humans OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL get in a ring and punch each other. In return, they are PAID $$$$$$ for it. Yeah.... that's EXACTLY the same. lol Cockfighting: That's illegal too. Meat: Don't eat meat then. Stick to vegetables that are living things ripped from the ground for your consumption. More meat for the rest of us.

Dog fighting: This is bad because they fight dogs against their will and the sport in itself is a torture to the dogs because at least one of them dies a painful death at every single match. Horse racing: I was never a big fan of horse racing due to what you said, they beat the horses with a whip just to make them run faster for some race. But it's different from dog fighting because the jockys and trainers usually treat their horses well, unlike most dogfighters, who lock up their dogs in little cages until it's time for the dogs to maul each other. Boxing: This one is COMPLETELY different. Both fighters know what they're getting into, they both still want to do it and nobody will force them to. Cockfighting: Yes, it's just as bad as dogfighting Meat: It depends. If the animals are kept happy and their death is made as painless as possible, then it's fine because it's all part of the foodchain.

Are you serious, you are comparing HORSE - "Racing" to DOG "FIGHTNING"! Thats crazy man. Horseracing is the sport of Kings where horses are Thouroughly breed to race and the horses are treted as well as human athletes, or the animal equivelant. Unlike fighting dogs and fighting hens(cocks) who are subjected to all types of inhumaine treatment and locked up in order to make them more angry and feirce. They actually fight to the "death". While the horses (and Racing Dogs) only race to the "finish line". Ocassionally a horse is put down because his leg breaks in a way that will not heal properly leaving the animal limp, a few ahve been saved and actually had limbs repaired but not enought o enable them to race. Boxers have a choice to get in the ring or not. Its just that simple ....... unless the mob gets involved! They only get shot if they dont do as they are told. As for eatting meat. Take that up with GOD! He created animals and he knew we would have to survive on something. Its called the "food chain". Every animal on earth eats some other type of animal to live regardless of how the meat is or isnt prepaired. Go stand by a pack of lions in Africa, or wolves in a pack and see what process they use to prepair you to be eaten. that was not the best comparison!

Michael Vick isn't going to make a come back no matter how much you want it to happen. He's going away for a very long time. If he where smarter he would of gone to Idaho to dog fight where it is only a misdemeanor. We live in a pretty screwed up society but dog fighting is no class act!
