Is it normal for my pit bull puppy to be able to jump so high?
My pit bull puppy is only 9 weeks old and he can jump cleanly onto my 3 foot bed. He could already jump onto the couch at 8 weeks. Is this jumping skill normal?

- ya its normal
- Just wait until he is 10 months and starts jumping your 6ft fence....or even better climbing your trees *sigh* Yes...hes normal :-)
- some dogs just have a knack for jumping, my dog can jump over a 3 and a half foot jump from sitting down in front of it :D and he's only a small staffordshire bull terrier :D Just be happy with the gift youve got, and maybe take him to agility to do the jumps there, I'm sure he would love that and the socialisation will be great for him :D
- Pits are VERY athletic. Be prepared to give daily walks of at LEAST an hour. They can jump or climb just about anything. good luck
- Breed unrelated! Do not allow your young pup such exercise. Pit or not, the bones and joints are NOT fully developed. Period. BTW, such young pup, shouldn't be even climbing the stairs.
- My English Bull Terrier pup Alfie is the same, l should have called him Tigger, l think he's got springs in his legs...LOL
- Yes it's fine. You should put him in Agility when he's older. Like a year old.
- Yes, very normal. They love to jump and play. Very playful and hardworking dog. High energy dog.My uncle's dog likes to climb trees! No kidding!
- sure it is! its probably in his blood. :)
- Yes, which is why they are so hard to fence in
