  1. i've always heard to bleach their area and give them gatoraid and supposedly orange is the best.
  2. there are no secrets to get rid of it..parvo is very cantagious to other animals any animal that goes anywhere near an animal with parvo will catch it..if you have an animal with parvo its you best bet to take it to the vet either to be euthenized since your broke or treated.
  3. Find someone to take the puppies to get treated, or take them to the vet ask if they will treat them on a payment plan. You really shouldn't have any puppies if you can't afford medical treatment. Depending on how advanced it is you may be better off humanely euthanizing them so they do not suffer. Parvo is an awful disease, they need to be properly treated by a vet ASAP or they will die, and even with treatment a happy ending is not guaranteed. You can ask your local Humane Society about treatment, but I know the Humane Society I volunteer at euthanizes puppies that have Parvo because it destroys them, chances are slim even with treatment, and it's so expensive it's just not possible for a non-profit organization to treat them when they already take care of every dog that comes in.
  4. Puppies with Parvo are suffering and in terrible pain. A "good breeder" should NOT have dogs with Parvo, and no way should all 8 have gotten it. They should have been seperated WELL before the last one got it. Please don't let these dogs suffer. Take them to your vet and apply for Care Credit to take care of the them properly, or have them put down. Letting a puppy waste away from this terrible disease is cruel. And PLEASE get the mother spayed.
  5. Moron, why did you let your dog have pups when you obviously cannot afford to take care of them????? Take all the dogs, including the female, to your local animal shelter where they will be properly taken care of. There are NO home remedies for parvo. Why weren't the dogs vaccinated? You are another unreputable backyard greeder. Either have them treated or euthanized!
  6. Tell people the dogs have it and sell them the dogs and tell them they will need to treat it and sell them at a lower price because the people will have to pay for treatment don't kill them!!!!!!!!! GO TO THIS WEBSITE IT MAY WORK!!!!!! Www.parvovirusbreakthrough.com or google parvo and it's at the top
  7. Parvo virus affects the causes the intestine walls to slough off (hence the bloody diarrhea). The diarrhea and vomiting become so severe that it causes dehydration and eventually death if not treated. YOU cannot "get rid of it" without the help of a veterinarian as fluids, antibiotics and other meds (in shot form) are necessary to get the puppies through the illness. They won't be able to keep anything down until the vomiting is controlled. Pencilin is not the aappropriateantibiotic. If you cannot afford treatment and don't have an ASPCA with a clinic that can help you the kindest thing to do would be to have the pups put down. Death from parvo is slow and painful. And, either way you go, BLEACH everything you can that the pups have had contact with and throw the rest away. I wish you luck. Please do what's best for THEM.
  8. Colloidal silver works I have used it myself on dogs that have had parvo and it killed the virus in all of them. I had one that was my own and 4 that were brought to me over a period of 5 years they all lived. I'm not promising anything but it worked for me and many others I have read about but I'm going off experience myself here wont hurt to try. you can get it at a health food store. give it about a 1/4 of a cup at first then a couple droppers full a few times a day. let me also say I did a test with this I had a litter of pups about 8 years ago that got it there was three of them I sent one to the vet $650.00 and two weeks in the hosptital. the second I gave the silver as I was still a skeptic over this pitcular thing I had used it on my self and family but not on animals. any how I gave her silver $30.00 and 2 days later dog was just fine. third I did nothing he died with a day and a half. after this I thought maybe a flook so I had a friend a few months later her puppy got it the vet was going to put him down but she asked me to try silver we did and the dog is still doing fine to day since then I have done 5 other dogs with parvo in the last 5 years all 7 total have lived. you can also google parvo and collidial silver there are testamonials from other who have used it.
  9. Look for a product called Parvaid, some more tips below but cannot guarantee they work, my best wishes!
  10. Diarrhea syndrome, or enteritis, has an incubation period of five to fourteen days. Dogs with enteritis act like they are in extreme pain. Early symptoms are depression, loss of appetite, vomiting, high fever, and severe diarrhea. Feces can be either grayish or fluid and bloody. Rapid dehydration is a danger, and dogs may continue to vomit and have diarrhea until they die, usually three days after onset of symptoms. Others may recover without complications and have no long-term problems. Puppies can die suddenly of shock as early as two days into the illness. A parvo-infected dog can shed the virus in his feces, which makes him extremely contagious to other dogs. The following precautions will help prevent the spread of this disease. · Keep the dog isolated from all other dogs for at least a month after recovery. · Pick up all the dog's stools in your yard. · Use chlorine bleach and water to clean food and water bowls. Wash the dog's bedding in bleach and hot water. Disinfect all areas that the dog has been in, including linoleum floors, crates, etc. · If you have any other dogs who are two years old or younger, or who have not had parvo vaccinations, take them to your veterinarian immediately for a booster shot. · Feed your dog a bland diet until he recovers. Reintroduce regular food slowly. A healthy puppy or adult dog should never be allowed contact with the feces of other dogs when walking or playing in public. Dispose of waste material properly and try to keep lawns, sidewalks, and street gutters clear of feces from neighborhood dogs. Point is - you need to give these puppies up to a humane society or animal shelter if you cannot afford veterinary care. They are suffering and probably in a great deal of pain! If these puppies would have been vaccinated for Parvo - chances are that you wouldn't be in this situation. I'm very sorry if I sound cruel, but you have to take responsibility if you are intending on breeding puppies. If you couldn't afford veterinary care - then why would you think breeding to make more animals to care for is a good idea? I have included a website, however, to help with a home remedy. Please call your vet though and consult for a better option. The second website is for home remedies.
  11. wow those poor babies need a vet now! that virus kills and is nothing to play with. penicillin will do nothing as it is a virus, not a bacterial infection. please get those babies to somewhere that can take care of them.
  12. I am sorry. This must be terrible for you and it does seem as if you are trying to save them, in your way. I wish you luck, but it does not sound good. I recommend after this fiasco you spay your female to prevent future puppies. If a person hasn't the money to invest in maintaining a dog's health nor to treat the myriad of health problems that can occur with having a litter, it is best not to travel that road. Just why are you having such a problem with Parvo (if indeed that is what it is)?
