Cross Breeds

What are some of the weirder mixed breeds you see in shelter and pounds?

I just notice on a shelter a Border Collie x Pomeranian. That a pretty strange mix. http://www.aaps.org.au/dogs/dogs_page_three.html What are some strange mixes that you think are unusual or weird or different? Must be in shelter/pounds or other rescues I'm an thinking of adopting a mutt puppy or crossbred or mutt adult dog in the future from a shelter/pound.

1. The RSPCA is Tasmania has just listed a 4-month-old husky/sharpei cross, I thought that was pretty unusual! http://www.rspcatas.org.au/asp/animal_details.asp?articleID=491&animalCode=8045&history=Search%20Results He is very cute! Pity I don't need another dog at the moment, or he'd be right up on my list!
2. I've seen Basset/GSD mixes, Chihuahua/Pit Bull, Lab/Basset, Collie/Basset (didn't see the dog personally but saw it listed on the website) and my Matilda who I believe is Rat Terrier/Lab/Kelpie :)

4. I've been in shelters.........took large boxes of milk bones into them to give to the many sad, unhappy dogs. It would be hard in my heart for me to actually go deep into answering this one, as I feel so saddened for all of them, and by answering this, I would feel like I'm mocking and making fun of them. It's not a real issue of finding "weird". I hope and pray they find "homes" and people to love them no matter how they look. Not truely saddened by the question, only saying it hits me on a serious note, and in a sad way. You have a good evening now. 5. the shelter I volunteer at had this mutt puppy, I can't remember what they thought he was, but he was one of those "so ugly, hes' cute" dogs lol If I had a bigger home, I would have taken him home.
6. I'm not sure what is that strange, this guy looks a bit unusual and very cute though! Also "clara" is the cutest rottie I've ever seen! I tend to see the normal docked tail and altered ears, but her natural beauty is shining through!
7. dachshund cross poodle, and german shepard cross staff. People I find are quite irresponsible were animals are concerned not just with cross breeds but in general. They get the dog when it is a cute puppie not thinking towards the future when this puppie grows to be an adult dog. Think people a dog or any other animal is for life!
8. I saw a poodle and a BLACK Lab, they call it a labradoodle. My mom has a poodle and bishaun Frieze, We call her a Bitchy Po, of course if she was half poodle and half Shiatsu, she would be a shitty po.
9. rat-terrier/beagle ... wierdest thing i've ever seen-- uber cute, in that almost ugly kind of way...
10. We had An Australian Shepherd/Malamute/Pointer Cross that we got at a shelter. Beautiful dog! But he sometimes got confused on if he should be herding, pulling or hunting! Hahaha and we just adopted him for a pet!
11. ive seen and chihuahua mixed with a red nosed pit bull..kinda cute really, like a tiny pit bull
12. I've seen many that couldn't be named let alone guessed as to the breed combination. I've seen basset x poodles; basset x heelers; corgi x dachshunds; coonhound mixes etc. But who would know? Some of these dogs are what I call Wal-mart crosses. They started out as mixed breed give aways in the Wal-mart parking lot. They were then given to the pound when their owners realized that a dog needs to be trained instead of allowed to do what it wants all its life. Sadly many of these dogs are 2 years old when they are turned over, untrained, unvaccinated, unloved, un desexed, un everything....
13. On petfinder I once saw a Crested/Dachshund mix.. it looked like a hairless dachshund!

Same shelter there is currently a Labrador Retriever, Dachshund Mix. http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/NC215.html Shelter I now volunteer at has a Hound, Beagle mix. http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/NC79.html I have all so seen a Pomeranian Shepherd mix, a boxer, chihuahua mix, and a lab, pit bull, hound, Pyrenees mix
15. On Petfinder, I saw a Basenji/ Husky cross not too long ago. Looked just like a red/white Basenji, but with a thicker coat and the most beautiful, striking blue eyes. Wish I could find the pic. Dog looked like it could stare straight into your soul :).....I'd just adopted my girl Tana, or I'd have definitely put in an application for that one! That'd probably be one amazingly stubborn, independent dog, but OH she was a beauty :).
