  1. yes there are mini huskies, not sure if they are called minis or what they are called but just google mini siberian husky
  2. Nope, although I did see a chihuahua mix on petfinder.com that had husky-like markings. Best thing to do is to keep an eye out on petfinder.com and at your local shelters. Once in a while you run across a neat-looking mutt. Now, if anyone tries to sell you a miniature husky or miniature malamute or anything like that, they are full of **** and trying to rip you off. Only a few breeds have separate distinguished "minuature breeds," such as the poodle and the schnauzer. However, there is no such thing for huskies and malamutes. Check out akc.org if you are not sure whether or not the "miniature" whatever is a real breed. Edited: This Alaskan Klee Kai dog is new to me. Looks like it is new to most of the world. Pretty neat. Of course, again, you'll want to check out the breeder before you get one. I can see a regular husky breeder easily tricking someone into buying a puppy.
  3. If you're talking Snow Dogs the movie those were siberian huskies. If you want small it would be an alaskan klee kai.
  4. Yes, there is a similar type of dog called an Alaskan Klee Kai. http://puppydogweb.com/caninebreeds/dogimages/alaskankleekai_private.jpg They come in three different sizes. Toy: 13 inches and under Miniature: 13 - 15 inches Standard: 15 - 17 inches I have a Toy Alaskan Klee Kai. He's very nice to my family and close friends, but gets a bit protective around new people.
  5. There is a breed called Alaskan Klee Kai, but they are not for the casual owner and have just as much energy as any other working dog.
  6. there's no such thing as a "mini husky"... there is the Alaskan Klee Klai tho, which resembles a small husky.
  7. Alaskan Klee Kai, Elkhounds, and American Eskimo dogs are of the spitz/husky variety and they are somewhat smaller.
  8. no. anything smaller is unhealthy. a similar, small dog would be the Alaskan Klee Klai. that's about it, though.
  9. As mentioned Alaskan Klee Kai are small but are not for the first time owner,as they can be difficult to train and tempremental. Why not consider rehoming a dog that you like. There are plenty of dogs looking for that forever home.
  10. The alaskan klee kai just looks like a chihuahua crossed with a pom or a keeshound or german spitz. It doesn't have that gorgeous distinctive husky face. I would suggest a Norwegian Elk Hound or a Keeshound if these alaskan klee kai are so hard to come by. Good luck
  11. Hope this site helps. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/alaskankleekai.htm
  12. i am not sure
