How to identify German Shepherd purebreed puppies?
I am looking to buy German Shepherd puppies and I was wondering if there were identifying features of German Shepherd purebred puppies. Any link to an external site or plain information would be welcome.

- Yes - two things - the breed standard, and the pedigrees of each parent that the reputable breeder will have and show you.
- No
- here are some links to help you buy any purebred pups. there are so many BYBs that you need to be very careful and be willing to spend a lot of money to get a well bred pup. other wise go to a rescue league to adopt and save a life. below are some links these are a some to help you in the buying process: http://www.sparkshire.com/buyinga.htm http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/beforeyoubuy.htm http://www.dog-breeds.net/Buying_A_Puppy.htm http://stoppuppymills.org/puppy_buying_tips.html here is some on german shepperds: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/germanshepherd.htm http://www.akc.org/breeds/german_shepherd_dog/index.cfm and here is one that has rescue groups so if you deside to adopt: http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?pet.Animal=Dog&pet.Breed=huskey&pet.Age=&pet.Size=&pet.Sex=&location=east+yorkshire
- If the parents are registered. there are certain characteristics, but some people are very good at breeding mixes that look purebred. id say if you definetly want a purebred, then make sure the parents are registered and the puppy has papers. Go to www.akc.org to find out more...and check out this link below. http://www.akc.org/breeds/german_shepherd_dog/
