What good chew toys are there for chihuahua puppies?
I have a 10 week old chihuahua puppy and he likes to chew on any little thing he can get his teeth on including things like the carpet and my feet. I have some soft rubber squeaky toys and a couple little stuffed animals but I wanted to try some sort of bone for him to chew on. Are nyla bones appropriate for puppies?

- I am a big fan of Kong toys, namely the Puppy Kong (which comes in all sizes - shaped like a beehive made of hard rubber) and the accompanying Ziggies treats which are great for pups to work their tiny teeth on. You can also fill a Kong with a small amount of peanut butter. These toys are therapeutic, prevent boredom and are great for teething. Also, Kongs are virtually indestructable. They cost a little but if you have a small dog the toy may well last the rest of the dogs life.
- i dont think you should just my opinion she may hurt her teeth or choke on it http://answers.yahoo.com/question/act
- When your dog chew on anything she isn't supposed to make a loud noise. Ex. a horn, or a can of coins. Not near her ears. Then, put a chew toy in her mouth. If it is on your feet or hands: say "ow." Take her little face in your hands - gently, and growl at her. That is how her mom would communicate "no." I agree with the puppy Kong answer. It will keep her busy, when you aren't watching. So she's less likely to chew everything else. Watch wires very carefully! And keep anything toxic, off floors.
- Kong's are great for dogs and they make a puppy cong that is designed specifically for teething. also nylabones are great for puppies to chew just make sure you throw it away when the ends get spindly
- Hi, If your dog loves to chew, he'd love something sturdy to gnaw on, such as a Kong or dental chew toy. Avoid squeakers or small vinyl toys--they're not made to withstand a power chewer. Check out this link for more choices: http://dogtime.com/toys.html
