Is there a way to determine the exact breeds in a cross breed dog?
I bought a puppy about a month ago, she is 4 1/2 months and I didn't buy her directly from the breeder. Instead I rescued her from people that weren't treating her properly. I bought her as a Bulldog X Old Tyme bulldog. However a very reputable breeder said she looks like she has other breeds in her and lots of people ask if she's got any Boxer in her. Is there any way I can test what exact breeds are in her? I haven't got any details of her parents as I didn't buy her direct from a breeder. So I guess its my own fault! Having said that she wasn't being cared for properly so I feel like I saved her! Just wish I could know for definate what breeds she is! I will post a picture of her later on and we can all play the guessing game!! Hopefully we can shed some light that way!

- there is a dna test that you can buy that will figure it out for you http://www.wisdompanel.com/?gclid=CK2Rso3wlpICFQsYkgodaA1I8w
- You can get a DNA test done at your vet's office, give them a call and find out how much they'd charge for it. If you have pictures online, post a link here and we can take some guesses!
- DNA testing
- No. There is no way to tell for sure. A DNA test can tell you who the parents were IF you have their DNA information as well. There are some DNA tests to identify breeds but they are not even close to 100% accurate and can mistake one breed for another that comes from the same ancestors.
- You might check with your vet. Some are doing DNA tests now that can tell.
- There are dna tests, but I don't believe they are capable of recognizing every breed yet. I doubt that the Olde English Bulldogge (I'm assuming that's what you have - never heard of Old Tyme Bulldog) is one that can be determined.
- I had my mutt DNA tested with DDC Veterinary, they're a little more expensive but worth the price compared to my vet. http://www.vetdnacenter.com/canine-breed-test.html
- thats scary u have the same name and last inital as me. i though i posted this for a minute.. lol they have DNA testing... but i kinda cost alot of money... somewhere around 100 dallors..
