why do ppl think Canadians get lots of snow?

where i live i get like no snow at all i think the most I've gotten in my life is 80cms and that's right now. i just remember in grade 4 i had a pen pal form California and there like do oyu live in igloo's and take snow dogs to school it was the stupidest thing ever.

1. Well, some places in Canada do get a lot of snow. I think some people in the US just assume that we get lots of snow everywhere because we are further North...Mostly its just stereotyping, though. A lot of people don't know any better. Your pen pal probably just didn't know much about Canada. It's like assuming that everyone who lives in Alberta is a cowboy. It's stupid, but people just don't know any better.
2. I think they just assume everyone in Canada get lots of snow. It's stereotyping like the other guy said. Someone who has never been here assumes it's north so automatically we get alot of snow. I had someone ( an adult in Texas) ask if we had a snowmobile. It's just plain ignorance.

4. that's only the ignorant and stupid americans that think like that..other people around the world actually check the stats, just like we do when we want to learn about another country...
