does anyone know why breyer modle horses are mainly in the UK?

We don't have very many breyers AT ALL in CA. the only place i know that has traditional scale breyers are at D&J hobbies but there are about...45$ where i live. :( PS no breyerfest too.

My little sister collects them, well she stopped about a year ago, well anyways we live in provincial Ohio (somewhat of a farming community), and they aren't many places here either (one would expect to see loads because of the location), but the price is about the same as you said they were for you, so I guess the reason they are so expensive is because they are shipped all the way from the UK and they aren't many of them made, which makes total sense. 3. You should be able to find them in Toys R Us, Tractor Supply, and any hobby store. I'm here in Florida and there are plenty of places to find them.
4. CA, as in California? Breyer Horses are a US made product, I'm not sure why you would think they are more readily available in the UK. I live in a small town and there are quite a few places around here that sell them - the farm supply stores, Big R, Walmart (on occassion) and hardware stores. I've also seen them at Toys R Us and other toy stores when I'm in the city. Hobby type shops should carry them. Plus you can also check out places like second hand stores, thrift stores and antique stores. When I was growing up I got a lot of my Breyer through mail order.
