help? i know everyone asks this, but i need help so so bad!?

ok. i know everyone asks this, but HOW CAN I MAKE MY DAD SAY YES TO GETTING A PUPPY? ok. i even have it planned out. the puppy i want is a yorkie. he is litter trained! i don't think my dad knows this though... i have 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, and a cat. he gets along with the cat and the cat will get along with him. the dogs won't get along with the puppy though:( BUT. i already have this planned. i can pay for the pup. here are the emails the lady and i have been sending: me: hi! i just wanted some information on your free yorkie on www.puppiessale.com thanks! her: Hello, Thanks for your interest in this my beautiful Yorkshire terrier puppy. He is a pure breed Yorkshire terrier. The puppy is the tea cup yorkie."Lincoln" is his name and he is a male puppy. He is 16 weeks old and pure breed. He weighs 1.7pounds and as full grown will weigh 4.2pounds.current he is on all his vaccine and shots.he has gone through a month of socialization classes before leaving the facility. These classes consist of name acknowledgment, puppy pad and doggies litter box training, leash training, etc.more over he is on a NuVet Plus Vitamins which helps build healthy immune systems. He is AKC registered and little did i know that i had to obtain a stamp from an AKC registrar before traveling internationally with the puppy since we had to pay a visit to my husband who is working with the World Health Organization (WHO). They are currently working on a 3 year health program for the fight against Mother to child transmission of HIV and AIDS.They are currently working in Cameroon found in Central Islands of Africa, and in less than 6 weeks from now, they shall be traveling to another African country (Ivory Coast) to continue their health activities. So due to the lack of that stamp which i did not procure from AKC registrar we have thus been held hostage at the Bali International Airport in our attempt to spend our holiday with my husband in Cameroon by the custom officials because of the lack of the stamp from the Kennel registrar. I have been told that the puppy cant enter Cameroon unless i present the AKC stamp from the American Kennel Club Registrar. It thus mean that if i have to do all this,i will have to go back to the USA and that will mean a lot of money. So i have been given 2 options either to repatriate the puppy back to USA,OR he will be qurantined here in Cameroon.it sounds so disturbing hearing that our much cherished baby await to be quarantined. I have thus advertised him so that anybody who will be able to pay the repatriation cost should pay and own this my lil angel.if you are ready for that,i will thus need to know your detailed address, phone number and the nearest international airport to you.below are some pictures of my lil angel I await your reply soon. me: that's such a cute name!!!! and a cute puppy! do you know how much a repatriation cost is? thanks! her: hello thanks for getting back to me in regard of the puppy.the repatriation fee is $95 to have him send back to the US i think this is fair since i can pay for it. even the food. my mom and brother REALLY want it. and my dad just keeps saying no! i don't know why!!!!!!!!!! please tell me what to do!!!!!!!!!!! help? i have seen the dog! there are pics!

  1. This is not a good idea. A teacup yorkie doesn't exist, only a sickly runt. Having to ship a puppy isn't the best idea either, and you have never seen the dog. Not a good idea, don't do it.
  2. He says no because he knows it's either a scam or it's incredibly stupid - he also knows that there is no such thing as a Teacup Yorkie - teacup, micro, etc are all terms made up by irresponsible breeders so they could sell their poorly bred runts for big bucks. And no dog is ever "free." You're conveniently leaving out the other needs when you say you can pay for this dog - grooming bills, training bills, vet bills, other general care bills... need i go on? I'm afraid you'll have to live with it. Be happy with the animals you have and DO SOME RESEARCH so you don't get conned into buying a dog that may or may not last a year.
  3. u have TOO MANY ANIMALS
  4. I think this is a scam. This lady is going to take your money and you won't see one hair of that dog. It's not an uncommon scam. A puppy is an incredibly large addition to the household and your dad has a reason for not wanting to add another one. Doing an end run will not convince him you are mature enough for a dog of your own. Get involved in training your current dogs. That will give you some experience you will need to raise a good puppy later
  5. I think you should give all of your extra love to the pets you have. Why don't you go donate some money to your local shelter in the name of your pets and know that they will have Happy New Year. I was just like you wanted lots of pets, but then the other pets that you already have will feel left out. I have side with your Dad sorry sweetheart. You could even volunteer at a shelter too.
  6. NO NO NO. Get a real dog. Not a "teacup" Yorkie!
  7. Hate to break it to you... but this is a SCAM! There is NO puppy! You will send money, and get NOTHING! At most you will get is a letter back from these people stating that they misunderstood the costs and it will cost even more.. they will try to scam more out of you after they get your $95. It cost at least $300 to ship a puppy from state to state.. it costs more than that to ship overseas. Also AKC papers mean nothing when it comes to customs and quarantine.. Dogs are quarantined because its the regulations with that country, or because they did not get the proper vaccinations prior to the trip. There is no "stamp" from the AKC either. When you register with AKC, you get AKC registration papers.. no stamps. Those papers are no proof of quality or health either.. nothing mroe than birth certificate papers that shows the dog is a purebred. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT FALL FOR IT! ADDED You saw pics of "a" puppy.. its easy to find pics of Yorkie puppies anywhere on the internet.. there's THOUSANDS of pics available! She can also just as easily scan a pic out of a book to email as well. That doesnt mean there is a puppy there.. she only sent you whatever pic she found. THERE IS NO PUPPY! Dont be so naive!
  8. yorkies are really cute. my dadsa bit like that, to get my first phone i had to say to my parents, i need responsibility and it worked, but it might not 4 u, u have already got 2 dogs, so i cannot help u. but maybe pleead for weeks and weeks,10 times a day, he might get mad but persist, he will eventually get tired ofu asking him and he will say yes. hope this helps
  9. wow that has wrong written all over it. back in June of 2008, there was an incident were 10 pups was shipped to the Los Angeles Airport, all very small (underaged) which they were advertised as teacups. Illegally shipped from Korea. This sounds like just another one of those cases. A stamp from AKC?? I doubt that's true - so is that owner saying that Cameroon does not allow anyone to bring in mix breeds they have previously rescued? because those will not have an AKC stamp. I suggest you steer away from this lady. pictures can be misleading, people can always put a picture of something up and sell something else. The main point is this lady is international, if she takes ur money, there's really nothing you can do if you do not get a dog. Furthermore, if it sounds too good to be true, it most definitely is, these are one of life lessons that you'll eventually figure out. Just like those variable rate home loans ^_^.
  10. LOL Let me guess, and then she wants you to pay for it WESTERN UNION??? LMAO That's a scam, hon!! RUN from that person!!! A WELL known scam!!!! Add: Do you know how quickly I could download some random yorkie pics off the internet and send them to you saying that it was my dog?? I have seen MY pictures, my friends pictures, STOLEN and posted on various websites. This sort of thing happens. I think you are blinded by the "possibility" of a cheap yorkie here. Please do some research -- this is a well known scam!!! Read these: http://macon.campusave.com/details/listing.aspx?listing=78742 http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory/dogs/forum/1461~6.aspx http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/7_on_your_side&id=5249169 http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/06/06/earlyshow/living/caught/main2891365.shtml
  11. That is 100% a scam. I promise you this.
  12. Don't do this - it is a scam to get your money. This is a common ploy to dupe people out of anywhere from a $50 to $500 for a dog that probably doesn't even exist. There are no regulations for importing dogs that require a stamp from the AKC. What about mixed breed dogs? Are they forbidden to cross international borders? No...they are not. Again, this a just a ruse to get your money.
  13. OHHH PLEASE DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS!. It's a big rip off in money, time. First of all you don't want a "teacup" any breed - its an unhealthy runt with a lot of medical problems. Your "free" puppy will cost you hundreds of dollars if it lives that long. Your father is right. I would never buy a puppy from a website like that. Its backyard breeder or puppy mill/broker and you may or may not even SEE the puppy if you give them money. You have pets to care for, you don't need this puppy.
  14. hmm i'm just going to use a liiiittle part of my brain to put these two facts together and make an assumption "information on your FREE yorkie puppies?" "they are a TEACUP yorkie puppy and..." i'm guessing, i'm just guessing, that they are FREE because they are TEACUP. and apparently this TEACUP breed just popped up somewhere last night. or is it just an unhealthy, not worth getting, lots of trouble, dying early, too skinny, too small, bone defusing, matty hairs, sterioed, underaged, irresponsible breeder selling false puppies, gene defected, unporportioned, really strange, alien puppy? i dunno i'm just GUESSING AND i'm also guessing your dad knows something that you dont listen to your dad, or pick another pup. something that doesnt have the words "OMG ADORABLE FREE TEACUP PUPPIES THAT ARE EXTREMELY SICK AND WILL DIE BEFORE THEY REACH A YEAR OLD" or anything similar to that
  15. There is NO such thing as a teacup Yorkie. Don't you ever read these posts? Don't be a fool and get scammed by someone like this.
  16. SCAM. Don't send your money. Run the other way! The pictures are a lie. Instead, adopt from www.petfinder.com
  17. Alright, you heard the people, and they're right about this. It is a scam and teacups are very unhealthy. Maybe someday they can be bred to be healthy and normal dogs, but not in this day and age. They are the result of 2 runts. Maybe you should give up on this one, because it will break your heart in the end when it gets so sick and dies or it is a scam. I'm not just saying this because of commen knowledge: I've been through this. And I would never want anyone to go through the pain of that. If I were you, I would just go on to breeders.net it is a website that can be used to find reputable breeders near your house. It gives all the contace info and stuff, and I found my dogs through it. I have to go, and I'm sorry I couldn't give you more info. You can email me if you need any more questions anwered or if you want me to help you find a breeder. Good luck!
  18. Honey, I'm sorry this sounds like a scam to me too. I bet you send money & get nothing. There is no mention as to how this woman expects to get this pup to you. Don't look to get a pup on the internet, if you are really interested in a puppy, look for a local dog from rescue. This way you can see what you're getting & visit with the dog.
  19. The term "teacup" is just used to describe a sickly puppy mill runt. They are NOT a breed, thus not recognized by the AKC. It's a scam, don't fall for it.
  20. This sounds like a scam to me why take the risk when U can get a Yorkie here go to animal shelter they have pure breeds too or U might see another dog that needs a loving home listen to your dad I have never heard of a Teacup yorkie if something sounds too good to be true it usually is sorry but DAD gets my vote
  21. This is a SCAM. You will not get the puppy. Did you find this guy via Craigslist? I'm not going to yell at you for purchasing a puppy as opposed to adopting. I am not going to tell you that there is no such thing as a tea cup anything - just small dogs with massive health problems. I will not even lecture you on how dangerous it is to package up a puppy and ship her through an international flight. I will not scare you with all the customs issues Miss Cameroon will have. But I will tell you that is 100% a SCAM. That, and the AKC will not give a "stamp" to a teacup. Heck, the AKC doesn't even recognize teacups! And surely, you are not so naive that you think that because someone pulled a picture off Google they *really* have the puppy, do you?
  22. Cameroon + Yorkie = SCAM! Run away!
  23. First off, do NOT reply back to this person. it most certainly sounds like a scam. there's a general rule thats "if it sounds too good to be true, it is". sadly alot of people have been scammed this way. Secondly, perhaps you could look in classified ads in the paper, and local online listings such as craigslist or Kijiji since occasionally people who can no longer keep their pets advertise on those sites (I got a free shih tzu puppy off kijiji because he elderly owner was going to a nursing home. I had him become a certified therapy dog...and we now visit her). I would like to warn you though to be careful who you talk to as there will be puppy millers advertising there too. my favorite option though is adoption. you can contact local shelters/animal controllers/ and rescues to see what dogs are available in your area. you could also consider long distance adoption...hearts united is one of few that do long distance adoption, and they often have chihuahuas and yorkies, plus all the dogs have they're medical care done....and the adoption fee is only $200. (here's they're web site http://hua.org/) as to your original question : you could show your father your responsibility by walking the current dogs daily, proving you've done research (eg, how to introduce a new puppy to the pack). When you deliver your research to him tell him both the negative and positive points...but try and do it in a 2:1 positive/negative ratio. Hope this helps you!
  24. Please please be careful!! After reading your conversation many times I can't help but feel that this is a scam. If you read any website it says to be careful of scams which usually involve sending money through western union (or a similar name), sending money out of country, shipping items or pets from out of country, etc. Also every time someone posts saying something about Cameroon is it usually always a scam. This is proven many sites and lots if people have been scammed out of their money because of it. I would try to find a puppy in the US or even better in your state. I just don't want you to lose out on your money and I don't want you to get your hopes up then get your heart broken. Good luck.
  25. This is a classic scam. You send the very affordable fee of $95 and then you get a call asking for more money for "insurance". You have seen a picture of "a" dog, doesn't necessarily mean that there is actually a puppy at all. Here are some links re. the Cameroon puppy scam. http://www.wordtravels.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=211&page=1 http://www.docep.wa.gov.au/ConsumerProtection/scamnet/Scams/Puppy_for_Sale_.html http://www.lep.co.uk/news/Couple-duped-by-Cameroon-puppy.4802596.jp http://www.petfriendlytravel.com/?page=purchasing_a_pet Does any of this sound familiar to you? There is so much more to be found on the 'net re. the Puppy Scam. Send your money at your own risk but you have been warned!
  26. I hate to say but... This lady took or stole picks from someone. This is the most common scam! If any one wants you to buy a dog from Africa, London, etc. this is a scam. These are fake stories people make up. Example: You can buy this free yorkie puppy that is a champion. But I have moved to Africa now and can't take care of it. Shipping to United States is 20 bucks. Trust me this lady wants to take all of your money. They usually want to wire money from your account or want credit cards or checks. I would say dollars is the safest way to go. As long as you've seen the dog IN PERSON it is ok usually ok. It is generally better to get a puppy that is not for sale on the internet. Don't even reply back to this person! It is not 95 dollars to send a puppy from Africa to United States. Its more like 300. Rules for buying puppies off the internet: 1. Are there pictures? 2. Is this person close to where you live? 3. They can't live in africa, london, etc. 4. Does this look like quality and priced proprlly 5. www.puppyfind.com is good because some breeders have ratings and comments from people who have bought there dogs 6. Does this puppy look healthy? 7. Is it ok with family to buy it? 8. Can you meet the puppy before buying it?
  27. Sorry to break it to you, but this has SCAM written all over it. For one, if she cares so much about the puppy, why doesn't she pay the costs, or bring it back to the USA? If she really loved it, she wouldn't want ot give it up, much less give it away for free. This is just like a scam over here in the UK - a girl I know "bought" a puppy from a breeder up north. She paid £200 for the puppy, and then £100 for it to be shipped to her home near London. Later she got another email saying that the company who were delivering her puppy were concerned about the puppy's health, and that she would need to send another £300 for vet bills, etc, otherwise her puppy would be left ot die. By then, she realized it was a scam, but had already lost her £300 savings. IF SOMETHING LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS. DON'T RISK IT!!! Oh, and listen to your dad - they can SOMETIMES know what they are talking about - lol! If in future you really want to get another pet, why not visit your local shelter and get a pet from there? Also, make sure you really think it through will you be able to afford food, vet bills, pet insurance, etc.? If not, don't get a pet, and be a responsible person.
  28. My advice is don't have a too much dogs sometimes, we can hold all dogs in one time think clearly there a 2 dog is waitting you in your home keep bring a love to your dog dog is the best human friend good luck.
  29. sorry to say this but.its a scam. i wanted to get a puppy too and i tried every website and i found a whole but of people who just happen to have puppies but are in africa "curing aids" or "spreading a message of christianity." they say they are two busy to take care of the puppy and just want it to get a nice home but there is some kind of shipping problem plus you need to buy a crate or something like that. blah blah blah its all in this link. seems awfully similar doesn't it. "good cause" "good people" "puppy but no shipping". try getting one from a shelter. hope this helps
  30. Ok well at the begginning it say's: [i just wanted some information on your free yorkie on www.puppiessale.com] Notice "free" Then when she actually emails you it says. It's $95 which is crap. It is way more than that to ship a dog that far. This is a scam that's why your dad is saying no. Never try to get a dog like this EVER! Anytime something is advertised as free then it comes up as $95 is a scam.
  31. sorry to say but this is a well known SCAM The pictures are of someone elses pups that was stolen from htis SCAMMER You can send the money but I guarantee you will never see any puppy. You also better check into this puppy being sent so young and what about teh quaranteen that isn't mentioned that will cost you and well the dog is quaranteened there is no guarantee nothing will happen as there won't be a puppy. Sorry but don't fall for this SCAM
  32. I'm sorry to break this to ya kid, but there isnt really such a thing as a "teacup" yorkie. How can you not see that this is a SCAM?? Its just a designer breed that people sell online to make money and they say they will send the pup to you but, i agree with everyone you probably wont ever get that dog. And shipping a pup isnt safe either. It can get bumped around in the plane or truck and can get hurt and sick. $95 is too much to pay for a designer breed that has a lot of health problems. A nickel is too much. I hope your dad doesnt let you get that dog because you'll be heart broken when it doesnt show up or it gets sick and dies becaue it has so many health problems.
