What breed should I mix my pit bull with to get cute puppies?

she is a beatiful 4 year old brindle pit bull with a good attitude and she wants to have puppies. what breed would be best to have her have sex wiwth and how much should i sell the puppies for? excuse me i am not an idiot i know a lot about dogs. i work at petsmart.

3. She does not WANT to have puppies. Do not create poorly bred MUTTS that will end up in shelters just so you could make some quick cash. Get your dog SPAYED, we don't need more idiots breeding their dogs. EDIT:: I work at petsmart and most of the people i work with are COMPLETE idiots when it comes to dogs and you are no different than the people i work with.

Dogs mate because instincts tell them to do so.. they dont mate because they have some deesire to have children... dogs just do not have that concept. You dont breed her, you get her spayed. Pits and Pit mixes are automatically euthanized in most shelters, just because its impossible to find good homes for them.. there's not many people who want pits, and most of those who do want one for the wrong reasons. You obviously dont know much about dogs if you think its ok to purposly breed mutts. Working at petsmart hardly qualifies you as any kind of expert.

10. I sure hope this is a joke. First, how the heck do you know if your dog wants to have puppies? Dogs aren't humans, they don't want to have a baby. Dogs don't have sex. They mate. If you don't know the name of the breed, you have no business in breeding it. It's called an American Pit Bull Terrier. Get her spayed and stop trying to add to dog overpopulation. Has she had all of her health and genetic testing done? Working at PetsMart, I'm sure that you can afford an emergency c-section should your dog having whelping complications? Your puppies will be worth NOTHING. All you will be accomplishing is more dogs in shelters being killed. Why not ask your breeding mentor these questions? You do have one, don't you?

Have you read on this board how wrong it is to be mixing breeds and letting your dogs breed that have no business breeding. I'll say it again: Only breed your dog if: 1. You have a purebred dog with registration papers from AKC and not the puppy mill registries like CKC or APR, etc.) 2. Your dog is 2 yrs old. 3. She's been shown in confirmation classes and earned a championship title. 4. She's been tested for every genetic problem in the breed. 5. You have written permission from the breeder that she is worthy of being bred. The male dog (same breed) should have the same things. If your dog doesn't have all of the above, take her in next week and spay her!
15. Please don't. The PetSmarts in our area have "pet adoptions" weekly. Haven't you seen all the unwanted puppies and adults? And those are a mere speck of the millions in shelters. Working at PetSmart, you should know better. You should have a better sense of responsibility towards animals. How much do you sell mixed breeds for? Tops, if I were to buy one, would be $50...which pretty much covers the cost of worming and innoculations they have had. We have a friend who is a veterinarian, works for our neighboring county. His job is to euthanize all pitt and pitt-crosses in the shelters.

LOL just because you work at Petsmart does not mean you know anything about dogs (which you just proved by your question) Your dog doesnt want puppies, you do so get it right, you do not mix breeds for the cuteness of puppies (most all pups are cute anyways) and just because your dog has a good temperament does not mean she is breeding material, she could have some genetic disease that could be passed to her litter. Have your dog spayed we do not need anymore Pit Bull mixes
17. You sicken me. Your dog doesn't want to have puppies, you want to make a quick buck off of her. Dogs don't *want* to have puppies; they're not like humans. If you work at Petsmart, which does adoption days, you should know about the thousands of dogs in shelters because of greedy BYBs who insist on breeding their dogs because they are 'beautiful' and have 'good attitudes' or 'great temperments'. Get your dog spayed, and give her to someone who won't try to make money off her.
18. hahahahahaha HOLY CRAP I am praying that this is a joke. Petsmart? Since when does working at petsmart make you a qualified breeder? Has your pitbull won conformation awards? Is she licensed? Are YOU a licensed breeder? Have you been with this breed for over 10 years? No puppies. If you do, mix it with another pitbull. Have you ever noticed that the breed that ends up in pounds the most is pitbulls? There's a reason for that...people like you breed them when there isn't a high demand for them. There's a difference between knowing alot about dogs and breeding them. If you are positive about wanting to breed her, try being an apprentice with a reputable breeder first, and then do it. I don't mean to come across as rude, and I'm sorry about that, but I have had very bad experiences with people like you before.
19. please tell me this is a joke. Even if your dog is bred (or as you say "Has sex with") a different breed, your dog's puppies will be MUTTS! So their value will be $0. All of these dumb people spending all of their money on these "hybrid" breeds is ridiculous. My husband wanted a pit bull, I wanted an American Bulldog, we went and paid $160 for one from the pound (instead of the $800 it could have been from a backyard breeder). Have your dog spayed, don't be dumb.
20. Here's the thing - I own a pit bull and have often thought that she would have beautiful puppies. (She is spayed, however) She is loving, not aggressive AT ALL and is a model pit bull ambassador! However, when we adopted her at the pound, about 60% of the dogs there were pit bulls and it broke my heart - I wanted to take them all home. Pit bulls have a really bad rap in society and it's unfair but true. I agree with the others - the most humane thing you could do for your dog is have her spayed and give her as much love and affection as you can. I have friends who have worked at PetSmart and they are NOT idiots as some of those have written here - but I think the point they are trying to make is that if you're serious about breeding, you MUST have papers for your dog, genetic testing, experience in breeding, etc. - it's a LOT of work. Just concentrate on giving your dog a FOREVER home and have her spayed! :)
21. Working at Petsmart doesnt mean anything. I have gotten some really bad info from them in the past. You shouldnt breed your dog espicially to create a mix breed.
