Name of movie where sled dog dies at end.?

I'm trying to figure out the name of a movie. All I can remember is that a young boy is racing his sled dog and at the end his dog dies of a heart attack from pushing himself too hard. The boy's main rival, an Indian I believe, won't let anybody else finish and lets the boy carry his dead dog across the finish line to win the race. Anybody know the name of this movie? Thanks

5. Stone Fox I know it's not 8 below or Iron Will I LOVE those movies and know them by heart, I didn't know this so I looked it up. I will watch this movie if I find it.
