What animals/birds/flowers can we expect to see in the Cotswolds area in September 08?
Mum and I are travelling to the Cotswolds from Australia for a week or so in late September. We are planning to do lots of walking and would love to know what sory of animals, etc we can expect to see. Are there any websites that could help us identify different types? Thanks for your time.

- There's a useful downloadable sheet on the Cotswolds AOB ("area of outstanding natural beauty") here, which describes the animals and plants which make it so special: it's Factsheet 8 (Biodiversity)... http://www.cotswoldsaonb.com/page.asp?pageID=10 But the best way of discovering for yourselves what there is to see in September will be to contact the local Wildlife Trust (either Wiltshire or Gloucestershire, depending on which bit of the Cotswolds you'll be visiting)... they're all volunteers and one of their big things are guided wildlife-themed walks and hikes. Here are links for both of them... http://www.wiltshirewildlife.org/Default.asp?mainmenu=whatson&EntityID={78A2AD43-B46C-4565-BE55-B101D4488BD4} http://www.gloucestershirewildlifetrust.co.uk/index.php?section=places:events Have a wonderful time when you visit. Hope the weather's kind so you can enjoy all the outdoorsy stuff you want to do. =D
