Help me find a dog like this?
Okay so me and my mother have been talking and since she isn't a very big dog person, but agreed to get a dog for Christmas we need a small dog. A dog that doesn't shed or bark that loud... And one that doesn't pee too much, because I have school and she has work and no one else is in the house for basically 6 hours... Can you please help me find a breed [kind of] like this? And pictures/links would be great, Thanks Okay okay sorry. It's just because my friend has a dog and she says that they don't pee as much... I don't know. And I think we can handle the work. Dammit ok. So fine, just a dog that doesn't shed much (and one that doesn't have TOO much energy...)

- You are another person that needs a STUFFED dog.
- a yorkshire terrier. They're great dogs and they might be the perfect dog for you. http://puppydogweb.com/gallery/yorkshireterriers/yorkshireterrier_bella.jpg also, some information; http://www.nextdaypets.com/directory/breeds/1100281/
- A dog is a very big responsibility. I would have to recommend not getting a puppy. A dog already potty trained. Good luck with that.
- yeah ya see, this one is perfect for u, wont have a problem with shedding or urinating...... http://www.k9design.com/Stuffed_Dogs/Beagle.html
- How bout -gasp- a MUTT! Oh yes I said it. No designer dog is ever perfect and neither are mutts but with a mutt you get *SURPRISES* in looks and personality. With these cross-bred canines you often get the best of all the breeds in them!
- doesn't pee too much? hun, all dogs gotta go. a dog is going to take a lot of work, and if you don't want pee on the rug every so often, you shouldn't get a dog. But I'll give you some breeds. shih tzu bichon lhasa apso... they all bark, if not trained properly, they don't shed, and they will all pee and poo... i'd suggest learning about dogs, and about breeds, and do A LOT of research. I studied dogs for five years before my dad thought i was ready to get one, and my dog is amazing. Be smart and good luck. go to that site in the source.
- o.0 Every dog should pee roughly the same amount. Do some more research about getting a dog. Personally, I think you would be better off getting an adult dog from a shelter. Most will be able to hold their urine for the average school day if they absolutely had to. If you get a puppy, i would strongly recommend you wait until your christmas break starts. that way you have adequate time to begin housebreaking. By eight weeks. puppies still should be brought to the bathroom every two hours or so. A schnauzer is fairly quiet, I think, and in my experience they shed little. Short-haired breeds, while not shedding less, generally don't shed so visibly.
- Sounds like you should just get a Fur-Real friend. No care or attention required. You even have the choice between a beagle and a yellow lab. http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBrand.htm?BR=688&ST=SO&ID=21912&PG=1 http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByBrand.htm?BR=688&ST=SO&ID=22194&PG=1
- Ok, ''a dog that doesn't shed'' is the only thing that would be breed-related. ''bark that loud'' - Barking is something that is controlled by training! A properly trained dog, won't bark loudly or excessively. ''doesn't pee too much'' - Really? That's not a breed thing. All dogs pee. If the dog is left alone for 6 hours, DON'T get a puppy. Adults dogs are better with longer periods of time between bathroom breaks. Take the dog out for a walk before you leave, and again directly after you return home, so he/she will be able to relieve itself.
- Well I really say you dont fit the record for being a dog person, have you ever tried thinking of a cat instead ragdolls are great companions. If you have you mind set on it id say get a dog that was bred to guard since their usually very independant, small dogs are very dependant on people and they bark allot and very loud plus most shed id have to recomend either a cat or a Shiba Inu
- I suggest a papion. They are small, cute and smart. You can carry it around really easily. I have a Cavilear King Charles Spaniel. Blenim. They are adorable and good around people. Expecially kids and the elderly. They dont get huge or shed too much. While at school or work they are fine alone. Just get it a bed. We got little Scamp a big enough bed for 3 of him and he loves it. We gave him a towel and he is fie for a day. http://www.dailypuppy.com/dog/Fosse-_1602
- Small dogs are harder to housebreak and potty train because all of them have small bladders and cannot hold it more then a few hours at a time. I would look into adopting an older dog (maybe a year or two) rather then a puppy so its more house trained. Basenjis are the only breed that doesn't bark. Most small dogs are big barkers. It would be hard to find one that fits all of your requirments. Maybe a Boston Terrier would be one of the choices.
