Scientific investigations to establish the current state of a particular ecosystem are conducted by environmental scientists whenever planning permission is required to clear an area of tropical rainforest. This proposed clearance has caused an international argument as some people are concerned that the clearance will lead to the destruction of a unique piece of tropical rainforest and will endanger some rare animals and plants found there. Initially it is decided that a survey of the current situation should be down to work out the effects on the ecosystem if the tropical rainforest is cleared. ---------------------------------------------------- Someone please write all this with your own words as good as possible!
