- Firstly can i just say, i have no idea why this q didn't post. 1) It will give future generations the chance to see some of the wonderful species and animals we have. 2) There are some lovely things that are extinct that i would have loved to have seen and if they were cloned i could. 3) In some cases it would help Countries that have problems with starvation as it would give them more meat to live on, as long as they didn't go mad.
- 1) If they are animals that went extinct due to anthropogenic impact, such as hunting, then we may be able to improve the 'ecological balance' by eventually releasing cloned animals into their original habitat. 2) Educational value and pure scientific/ research value. 3) Makes us feel good, and may provide some incentive for the 'average Joe' to care more about wildlife and the environment.
