Well one puppy out of the litter Has a small white dot on his chest and paw (See picture he would not hold still for the chest picture lol) Anyway Mom is an AKC registered pure German shepherd she is a personal protection dog and has had all her heath testing done before breeding and she is three years old (First litter) Sire is AKC registered SAR and has been in shows and won And he is health tested to..And is 3 years old also. We paid $1500.00 for a stud fee but wondering if something else got her while she was at the studs house. Here is a picture of the puppies paw http://pictures.sprintpcs.com/share.do?invite=jEhr2gJS8Y8x87xLL89L&shareName=MMS&messageState=RETRIEVED All other puppies are black and tan is this normal for a German shepherd pup Here is another one http://pictures.sprintpcs.com/share.do?invite=mEar2GJg8Y8Vk82U0aMk&shareName=MMS&messageState=RETRIEVED The puppies were born yesterday and I called/emailed the breeder and no answer I have been keeping contact this whole time so i high doubt she would screw me over We have already lined up homes for all nine pups...Sire is show dog and has won!!! Bitch has show lines both of her parents were CH show dogs...as well as grandparents we did not want to show her as we had her trained for personal protection...Puppies are being sold for $2000.00 as family pets/SAR/Show dogs/Therapy dogs/Agility dogs Sorry we are charging $800 for pet prices and $2000.00 for show dogs...Our puppies come with a 5 year health guarentee..Vet check ups through out there time they are staying with me...First shots and microchip and de worming. We already have 8 people have deposits down I have fallen in love with the male with the white spots on him he loves to fall asleep in my arm and i am going to keep him!

- You can not tell to early and the first pic is to unclear.
- normal. some pups come out with white tipped paws that fade into the coat coloring later on. although if you're that worried, call the breeder and ask about it, and they will help you out with it.
- Yep,the white makes it PET-QUALITY crap! Of course they ALL are....you've said NOTHING about their CONFORMATION CHAMPION pedigree. You've sure proved your puppymiller status this morning, haven't you?
- German Shepard's do come in black and tan but there is usually a mix in there. Shepard's can come in pure black, white, regular or brindle but I have never seen a pure bred black and tan shepard :S
- It is normal for pups to have "discoloration". When my maltese pup was born and up until 6 months he had a peach spot, which is allowed but not preferred. Once his hair grew out you couldn't see the difference. I'm sure in your pup it will turn. They are very young to really tell what if anything will happen with the white blotch. I would not worry about it. I've seen registered (and definitly pure) GS with white toes.
- "COLOUR : Black with tan, brown, yellow to pale grey markings. Solid black or solid grey. In greys, darker shading, black saddle and mask. Unobtrusive, small white marks on chest as well as very pale colour on insides of limbs permissible but not desirable. Nose must be black in all colours. Lack of mask, light to piercing eye colour, as well as light to whitish markings on chest and inside limbs, pale nails and red tip to tail, are to be regarded as lack of pigment. The undercoat shows a light greyish tone. The colour white is not permitted." http://www.workingdogs.com/standard_fci.htm
- If this person is experienced and has a good reputation doubt your girl got bred by something else. Question why did she go to him? $2000 bucks for pet quality, good luck! Different prices for the show then the family pets. Sorry but this whole thing sounds kinda funny.......
