zoo tycoon 2 extinct animals stand alone?

Hi just wondering if anyone could tell me if i need zoo tycoon 2 in order to play zoo tycoon extinct animals or if it is a stand alone game.

1. you must have zootycoon2 or it will not work...extinct animals just zt2 pack
2. yes you need zoo tycoon 2 ( that happened to me once but with a diffrent game)
