Cross Breeds

is it possible to cross breed a dog and a cat and get a combination of both?

  1. No. They are different species. Different species can't crossbreed - that's actually part of the definition of "species".
  2. NO... the doggys sperm doesnt match with kitties eggs.. have fun trying to get a dog to mate with a cat in the first place!!
  3. i don't think you can they will probably fight each other instread of mating Let me know if your breed them put a picture on google if it happens
  4. Not without some serious genetic manipulation. I think you will find that cats and dogs have different amounts of chromosomes, therefore making them unable to breed. Animals that have similar DNA makeup can, like donkeys and horses, or lions and tigers.
  5. Interesting question Dr. Frankenstein. They can't be cross bred. The genetics are too different.
  6. What kind of question is that? But the answer is No..Dogs & Cats can't make babies.
  7. Okay, first of all, I suddenly got an image of that cartoon character "CatDog". If, for some strange reason, one species of animal mated with a totally different species of another animal and pregnancy did occur, most likely the female would miscarry, IF the mating did take place, which is highly unlikely in the first place! Now, different dogs will mate and you'll have a different type of dog, creating a new species of dog. Same with cats, etc. But to mate a cat and dog. Eewww! What in the world made you think of that!!!
  8. Did you wake up stupid this morning or does it just come normally for you????????????????????/
