are in breed pit bull puppies more prone to be very aggressive than others?
i have a 2 month old American / prescanaro pit bull, who's mother mated with her son and this puppy seems to be very aggressive excspessially as young as she is im worried she may be worse when she gets older?

- it all depends on how you raise them. if you love them and give them alot of attention then they usually treat you the same way. pits like to chew on things though. that is my only problem with mine.
- It is very possible your puppy could have a genetic predisposition do be aggressive. Around other dogs it might show some manifestations of this no matter what you do other then keeping it away from other dogs. It may or may not show this behaviour with people or other animals. All you can do is discourage any aggressive behaviour in a loving kind and specially gentle way and hope it stops being aggressive. The problem is with other dogs and her inability to restrain herself when challenged. If she continues aggressive behaviour she will have to be isolated or put to sleep. One alternative is guard dog where she is alone and only handled by one person and have no other dogs in her area. The problem with that is she might have no desire to be aggressive towards humans and not make a good guard dog. Good luck with her and please be more careful with the breeding.
- Mother mated with her SON? That is looking for genetic catastrophe. Pit Bulls can be genetically aggressive, especially with bad breeding (which sounds like the case here) If the puppy is agressive at two months, I would start some serious training immediately. Keep a close eye on her, and if you cant curb the aggession with training, you should consider putting her down. It only takes a few mean Pit Bulls to make everyone think they should be banned. It IS possible to have a tame and docile Pit! You need good breeding, and good raising. Good luck!
- inbreeding could cause a list of problems including aggression. and she probably will get worse as she gets older since females tend to get very moody between 8-12 months.
- EVERY SHOW DOG IN THE WORLD IS INBREED AT SOME POINT AND MOST HARD WORKING LINES ARE INBREED OFF SIRES TRAITS LIKE LONG WIND HARD DRIVE HARD BITE. SO THE INBREEDING WILL NOT HARM THE PUPS,I HAVE DOGS THAT 76 TIMES THE SAME SIRE WITH NO PROBLEMS AND DUE TO THE INBREEDING I CAN TELL YOU THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME ACT THE SAME. A PRESA IS A HUMAN AGGRESSIVE ANIMAL
