What animals are compatable to live with reindeer?

My Employer owned two reindeer which he uses at his christmas tree farm in NC. Unfortunately, one of the reindeer passed away, and restrictions prevent our obtaining another. What animals would be compatable to live with the reindeer? I have heard that it would most likely be goats. I know this is a strange question and the world is full of comedians, but I would appreciate serious answers from adult type persons.
