  1. Most dogs will eat corn.....but corn isn't digested in a dog and when it poops you will see the corn in his poop undigested. I wouldn't recommend feeding any dog corn intentionally. You should feed your dog a good well balanced dog food.
  2. no they dont, no dog does. it has made our yorkies sick
  3. I have never heard this and would never try this. My Yorkie is a great, healthy dog and I have never been told by a breeder, groomer and certainly not his vet to do so.
  4. Most dog will eat corn, and most of them will develop problems.
  5. A dog is a dog is a dog ... Different breeds do not need different food whatever the manufacturers tell us. If they did what on earth would mongrels eat? Real fresh corn will go through their system mostly undigested just like it does for other dogs (and humans). The issue with corn is that many inferior commercial foods use it as a major protein source. Dogs are carnivores and cannot utilise vegetable protein as effectively as meat protein. Your little dog has the same digestive system as a wolf, dingo or coyote - feed it meat, bones and offal.
  6. Corn is not digestible and offers no nutritional value to any dog, even yorkies. Dog foods with corn in them are considered low quality. Look for dog foods with no corn and human grade ingredients such as Canidae, Wellness, Timberwolf, Innova EVO. Check out some dog food reviews here. 7. There isn't one omnivore that I can think of that can digest corn. We can't. Canids can't. It's a pretty much a useless food item due to its undigestability and should be avoided because many dogs develops skin allergies due to corn. Hell, my guinea pig is allergic to corn!
