Can anyone tell me how much the strongest types of dogs can pull?
I just want to see how much a pitbull, doberman, great dane, rottwhiler, bulldog, and other strong dogs can pull, carry lift or anything, just to see how strong they can get, This question is not to fite dogs, just to see how strong dogs are.

- i konw 6 huskeys can pull half a ton between them but thats all i know...
- If you really want to know a strong strong dog, try a Bernese Mountain Dog, Newfoundland, Great Pyrness, and Saint Bernards are some of the STRONGEST dogs. In fact they have pulling contests where they pull 100s of pounds of dog food or bricks for a certain amount of time.
- well, think about this question but referring to people...how much can you pull? just say you can pull 75 lbs, but after pulling that 75 lbs for a while you are strong enough to pull 80 lbs, then 90 lbs...the more you pull the stronger you get, right? So apply the same thing towards dogs...I can give you a little info on rotties, for I have one...Rotts are natural worker dogs, bred for that reason. Owners used to attach carts to them so they can haul items...although I do not do this with my dog, I do play tug with him all the time...if I don't plant my feet he will drag me all over the yard, and I am well over 150lbs... My neighbor used to raise and train pits...he had a pit that would jump to up about 6 feet and grab this rope hanging in a tree and hang there...this one dog would hang there for hours and not let go until Jim gave him the signal to get down...but others couldn't last half the time the one dog did...that's because Jim trained Tiger to hang there...the more he hung the stronger his jaws got... So I guess as with anything, the more you do it the better you get at it...I hope this helps...
- Pit bulls can pull up tp 5 times thier wieght
- I have a female husky, she is 38-42 pounds at any given time. We were standing in a group talking to other dog people and she (the husky) saw a squirrel and took off after it. Her initial bolt caught my husband by surprise and she pulled him off his feet and through the grass quite a few yards. Having had to catch her many times before he didn't let go of her leash. He goes 225-240 at any given time. I walk the german shepherds because even with two they're much easier to control. The husky is also very fast. So she is fast and strong, but not aggressive, unless there happens to be squirrels, chickens, cats or other small animals out and about.
- i have a black lab, and he is 13 now so when we take him for a walk he is slow, but if he see a cat or another dog, he will go all big, hair up and everything, and he will pull to see the dog, and he hads sometimes pulled me up the path as well,
- What is your reason for asking this question? Sounds like you have some motive behind asking...
