Do you have a favorite cross-breed dog, and why?
Like a beagleXpug (puggle) or a border collie and a german shepherd.... and why?

- I love every one that is fixed.
- Yesterday I met a German Shep-Pit Bull pup, she was so beautiful! Gracy had a shepherd's colors and markings, but a pit's head and the white mark on her chest. She was seven months old and 50 pounds. So pretty.
- Alaskan husky. They're bred so they can better pull sleds. They're not bred so the puppies can be "cute" and sell for thousands of dollars to naive buyers. They're bred for their working abilities. Though they're not a purebred, they're bred like most purebreds have been in past centuries. Dogs that could do the job and were in the neighborhood got into the genepool.
- So as not to offend my 2 loveable mutts, I will have to say lab/heeler mix. We rescued both of them. I would never pay a "breeder" for a mixed breed. Both of my girls have been spayed.
- I have a maltese/chihuahua mix now and she's adorable. I grew up with a poodle mix (either pekeapoo or cockapoo--since it was from the streets it was unknown). I have always had longer haired dogs and when I was looking for a dog 5 years ago that was one of my criteria. That and the dog needed to be small since I was living in an apartment with size restrictions. When I saw Angel's picture on petfinder I knew she was the dog for me!
- Any one that is rescued! These people who are purposely producing mixed-breeds should be forced to immediately spay and neuter their animals. My personal favorites are my three rescued mixed-breed dogs. One is a little black lab mix, one is a German Shepherd mix, and one is a coonhound mix. I love them all and each has been altered.
- I have always bought full bred dogs up until a couple of weeks ago. I purchased a puggle and he is so adorable. He is loving and definately a lap dog. He is very smart with the exception of barking when we leave him. I would definately recommend a puggle for their wonderful personality.
- My personal favorite is a Golden Retriver/Cocker Spaniel, because they are so cute! My Fred is one of the sweetest things ever!
- german shepherd /collie my grandmother had one when i was growing up he was a loyal gaurdian....but i would never pay a breeder of mutts. or even a breeder of purebreeds. mine are all shelter rescues or ones i have taken from people i know or stays that found their way to my house. and all are fixed. and those stupid names....grrrr...
- I just saw a Papichon, papillon and bichon cross. Sooo cute, and better yet has great disposition, good with kids and doesnt shed!
- My mother's Doberman Pincher mixed with German Shepard . She is so sweet that she gives me high fives every morning when I get up. She is a Pound dog that has been fixed.
- I've had two lab crosses, one was a spaniel of some sort, and the one I have now was crossed with an Austrailian Shepherd. They both looked more like the lab parent, even the one with the spaniel mother. The one I have now is kind of mouthy--barks more than the other one did, but she's cool.
- Why my favorites are my neutered labshrepausky and my labraitbull and my spayed labraitbull. But I am probably biased, as any mother should be ;)
- i have to favorites. the Puggle. pug beagle mix. adorable, fast, gentle with children, well tempered. i own one. http://www.petcitypets.com/pics/08292006/1M,-F-regular-puggles-$595.jpg http://www.pupfinder.com/Puggle318_small.JPG And the Schnoodle. the schnouser poodle mix. super cute. easy to train, very energetic, and tiny. http://marimaykennels.bizland.com/sch1104.jpg https://breederinfocenter.com/images2/20020609220904_154707_1.jpg
- Shih tzu -pekingese Adorable! short and "dwarf-like" with less shedding than a peke and a better personality than a peke, but a more pronounced dwarf appearance than a shih. I love the cross.
- My favorite crosses are poodle crosses!!! I especially like my parti colored Teacup Yorkipoo, but I also love my black and rust Royal Standard. Everywhere I go people comment on him. He is beautiful. Why I like them is simple, they are way more healthy than my purebreds. Don't get me wrong, I love my purebreds also, and I have them in all six sizes. But my poodle crosses (like my Queensland Blupoo) is so totally perfect! Edit: Don't worry St. Lady - all of my poodle crosses are "fixed" before they are shipped to their new homes or to brokers (but I do not sell one-offs to pet stores, like I said, I am a responsible breeder). I became particularly careful about protecting the health of my cinnamon red knishes, and I know that spaying and neutering them protects their health, not to mention I don't want anyone else to have un-authorized use of my blodlines that I worked very hard to develop.
- of course it would depend on the individual dog......if I were to go out and look for a mix, I would look at something that was some variation of Sheltie/Border Collie/Aussie...I like herding breeds
