- Dogs are loyal, period. Don't buy an intentional cross, but if you don't mind a mix, look in your local shelter.
- "Loyal" is a (rare!) *HUMAN* trait!!! NO mutt is predictable for *ANY* trait, mythological or real.
- I don't know a "good" cross with a GSD, considering mutts are unpredictable. I DO know that there are TONS of GSD mixes in shelters everywhere, and at least one is a loyal, loving dog. Start looking on petfinder: http://petfinder.com/ Hopefully you'll find the dog for you. :)
- All dogs are loyal. If you mix breeds your going to get traits from both sides, so you really dont know what you are going to get until the dog grows up a bit. More than likely it will show specific breed characteristics from both ends of his genepool. And there is no way to tell which ones he will exhibit unless your getting an adult dog or a purebreed. I didnt realize Shepherd's had a specific "loyal" trait that the rest dont have. Look in your local shelter, I bet you'll find your new best friend there and it will be twice as loyal because you rescued it. It's true! they really do appreciate coming home with you if you get them from the pound. And they are thankful, I cant explain it. Get one and you will see what I mean. Older dogs, even better. Spend some time with them see which one likes you, not which one you like.
- A dog will be loyal if you give it a reason to be, regardless of breed or cross breed. Be careful 'looking' for cross bred shepherds. That just screams hip/elbow/back problems to me. Try looking at your local shelter for a dog, not a specific cross and you will be suprised what you find.
