  1. I dont know about the maltese part but i have a dog thats half pekingnese and its got sum spunk. if you dont love it well enough it will become very rude to u. good luck
  2. It is often hard enough to guess the probable behavior of a purebreed dog. It is almost impossible to guess the behavior of a crossbreed, because which traits it gets from its parents are going to be entirely random, so it could have any of the entire range of behaviors for both breeds. Generally, your best chance at guessing the behavior of a future puppy is to find out as much about the behavior of its parents as you can, and that will narrow down the range somewhat.
  3. the maltese is a good laid back lap dog that is very affectionate. the pekingnese is sometimes very stubborn and mean. hopefully you get the malteses personality.
  4. its behavior will be a cross between the parents it depends on how they are. and you can never no will a mixed dog.
  5. I have four dogs, two Springer spaniels, a black Labrador and a Maltese. They are all wonderful dogs and interact very well together. The Maltese was bought as a birthday present for my daughter, she wanted a smaller dog. I researched and researched what breed would be the best and came up with the Maltese. We found a very playful Maltese puppy for her. She's a wonderful dog, plenty of energy, always wants to play and doesn't mind the love of a 7 year old. She can even hold her own with the big dogs when wrestling. She is a good watchdog, barking when she hears an odd noise, but not to the point of annoyance. We have a very large fenced-in yard, so she probably gets more exercise than the normal Maltese, but she loves it! I recommend these dogs, they are also hypo allergenic, only problem is making sure the hair is kept short. Like I said, she plays outside very often and we first tried to leave her hair a little longer, but she would bring sticks and things into the house. Now we keep her trimmed to about 3/4 of an inch to an inch in length. Still adorable!
