where do rottweillers come from and are they full breeds or cross bred ?

1. they are originally from Germany. They are not a cross bred.
2. They come out of the vagi na of the momma rottwhiler. Full breeds
3. Germany and they are pedigree, Dobermans were bread from them.
4. They are now a purebreed. Most all breeds started as a cross of several things. All the dogs that are recognized by the AKC are purebreeds. They now are bred together and produce a consistant type.
5. rottweil, south germany, the romans are responsible for the widespread of this beautiful breed throughout europe , and definately a pure breed...they are a mastiff type dog that have been crossed with sheepdogs to produce the " butchers dog" to herd and guard livestock

7. Everyone has Germany right. One person even got the "butcher's dog" right. The reason they were called "butcher's dogs" was because butchers had the dogs pull the meat wagons. Duh. Dobermans were not bred from Rottweilers. Dobermans are terriers. That is what Pinscher means in the German language {terrier}.
