What do you do when you want a dog that the owner dosent want to give it 2 you? (pleez read details)?

It has been out on the streets for all of its life and the owners wont let it in the house or build a shelter for it and it has been snowing very bad here. They never feed it the only way he gets fed is if he digs through trash, dig for roots and seeds or if I feed it. His owner kicks him in the stomach and privates and thinks its funny. The dog is so sweet but he is very dirty and hge has clumps of muddy ice on him.

  1. You call animal control. They'll pick the dog up, and ask them to follow up with you (or just call and follow up with them) and let you know which shelter/rescue they bring him to. Then, you can go and adopt him and make a donation to that shelter!
  2. If the dog is free roaming the neighborhood, then you could claim it's a stray, and contact your local humane society. Tell them that if he's put up for adoption, that you would like to adopt him. That's about the only 'legal' way to do it.
  3. Call your local humane society and have them check things out. If this is whats really going on they will remove the dog and if it passes tests will be put up for adoption.

  6. Have you tried calling your local HS or SPCA? I've witnessed this, sadly. When the SPCA wouldn't step in, I dealt with it on my own. One of the ways, the 'legal' way is to offer money. Offer as much as you can give, but don't do this unless you have an adult with you. Hope you can help.
  7. Makes me wonder why people like that think they are human.Totally disgusts me.Please call the SPCA if you can't get the dog at least someone else will ,other than where it is now.
  8. Call animal control and explain the situation to them and let them know you would be willing to adopt the dog. You can also call your local dog officer and tell him whats happening. This is animal abuse and it should be left to continue until the dog is seriously hurt or dead.

  11. I would call SPCA, the ASPCA, my local animal shelter, my local animal advocate who ever it was that dealt with animal welfare and have a long talk with them. There happens to be a wonderful animal advocate that lives close to me, so I am lucky in that aspect. If you actually witness the guy kick his dog again, bring the dog into your house and call the cops on him. Nail his sorry hide for animal abuse. If you don't want to go that route, offer the guy, say $50 for the dog and see if he will sell you the poor guy. Just find a way to get the poor dog away from that creep as soon as you can.   13. you need to call your animal control people and get them there, if you let them know you are willing to adopt it,im sure they could arrange that.
  14. steal it and keep it hidden for a couple weeks
