On Sims 2 Seasons, It is summer right now, but when my sims walk outside, it looks like their walking in snow?

I have sims 2 seasons and right now in my game it is summer, but when ever the garderner or my sims and dogs/cats (pets) walk outside..they leave piles of snow..even though there is no snow on the ground..anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix the problem? I switched the seasons around once, but then changed them back to the original way..its driving me crazy! Please help..whoevers answer works gets the 10 points!

1. Hello fellow simmer, The same thing used to happen to me. Make sure you have the latest patches for your game. Go to http://thesims2.ea.com/update/ and download the patch for each game you have installed. Restart your computer and see if the problem persists. 2. Save your game. Then change the season and play in it for a little. Do anything, then save again. Turn your sims game off and restart. Then turn it back to summer. Then save again. Then restart. Then play. It should work.
3. I haven't had that problem yet, but this link might help you: http://thesims2.ea.com/update/ the list of patches are in this link. I recommend you install all of them (especially the Sims 2 patch), if you want your game to be good. If you are worried, don't be, those patches won't harm your computer at all. I downloaded all of them, and it did make my game better. Happy simming!
