will 2 dogs share 1 doghouse?

we are building a dog house for our 2 dogs. 1 male and 1 female, they get along fabulous. she has brightened up his life. they are outside dogs. one is shepard and one is husky mix. we are making a dog house NOW. should we build 2 separate houses, or 1 with 2 doors, or 1 with 1 door only to cut down on cold weather (ice, snow,air) how would you get them to share this house? Thanks. please only dog owners with dog experience.

2. well, if they already sleep together this shouldnt be a big problem. i would definitely make it fairly big, so they can get away from eachother if they need to, sometimes a female dog will automatically let their male have the 'comfy house' and sleep outside herself, its an alpha/submissive thing. to be absolutely sure, 2 houses would be best, but, you know your dogs better than i would, so you would be the better judge of whether she is very submissive to him.
3. maybe, or maybe (most likely) one of them will be more dominant over the other and chuck the other out of the house
4. If they get along fine they will probably be fine with one dog house. Do they share beds or anything else. we have several dogs which all share 1 dog house and they do fine.. Just make sure it has plenty of room for both of them.
5. OK well I have 2 puppies and they are sisters so this isn't the same thing. But, they would go into their cage that we have in the house for them when we go to bed or leave the house. we just give them a treat when they go in. They are fine. I think that as long as they house is big enough for 2 huge dog and they get along fine then they should be OK. I'm not positive though.
6. first if they get along, it wont be a problem at all.it is not a problem at all to share a house but it should be big enough for them to move around. hope they love the house you are building
7. Make two. They will so much happier.. They will share if they want to, but what happens when one gets kicked out of the house? Where would they sleep? Well make two. We have separate kennels/crate for each of our dogs. None sleep in the same kennel/crate. (in our house). They don't want to share normally unless they are mating. They like their space, give it to them. Most people don't like to share their space. They need room to breath. Also make sure that you put straw in the house as this will insulate against the cold. Make sure they have enough room to move around in the house, and that they can lay down comfortably. They like room. This will be their home. They will go there for comfort and to sleep. 8. You should build2 doghouses with 1 door each because if they are in the same dog house they have babies or they might fight
9. yeah. they should, if they like each other. just make it big enough for the two of them. hahahaha
