  1. STOP! dont buy one, go to Battersea dogs home and give a poor dog a home.
  2. Go to your local shelter
  3. Never having been to London, I can only presume they have the equivalent of the RSPCA.. Good start to ask them. How about the equivalent of the Canine Control Council in Australia.. How about a website... White pages? Lots of places to start looking.
  4. http://www.dogshome.org/ Battersea Dogs Home website There are so many unwanted animals out there, please consider a dog from a rescue home like Battersea.
  5. Try any animal shelters they will be listed on the net, they will do a home check to ensure you are right to have a dog and the dog you choose is right for you..
  6. Head to the pounds and shelters in your area. You're bound to find a puppy or even older dog who needs a home. Also, you're going to want to consider very carefully what kind of dog would suit your life. They'll help at the shelter or pound with that, because they don't want the dog to come back. Good luck, and if you do get a dog, I wish you many long, healthy years with him/her.
  7. go to your local animal shelter ( spca ) i dont live in london sorry
  8. I got scamp a most beautiful dog form the local dog pound a year ago, we love eachother she brill best thing i ever did
  9. i know. go to ur local shelter
  10. try battersea dog home
  11. Battersea Dogs Home. It's your only option if you live in London, don't buy one from an ad in a paper, please support Battersea.
  12. Crofty above says that Battersea is your only option. It's not (I will however back them when they say to avoid ads in newspapers of magazines). There are **at least** 12 rescues in London. This link should help you to find one closest to the part of London you are from: http://www.dogpages.org.uk/sth-east.htm I don't know how far you are willing/able to travel, but you can scroll down to "London", there's 12 in that area. It might also be worth looking in surrounding counties - their contact details are also on the link above. You'll find dogs of all ages, breeds and mixes in rescue - plus new dogs come in all the time. Take a look around, talk to the staff and ask their advice. Good luck.
